Excellent location, right next to the river, not far from the castle and Okayama Korakuen. Lovely views of the castle and the river. The room (904) was spacious, but it looked twice as big as all the other rooms on the floor according to the floor guide.

The views from room 1002 are spectacular, and even better, you can open the window for fresh air. The small double room is cozy, but it perfectly adequate for a few nights stay. About 15min walk from JR Okayama, 5 minutes to the castle, and just a little further to the gardens, the hotel is in a lovely location.

Around 5 minutes by tram from JR Okayama station, also it's a walkable distance. Staff were great. Room was clean. Didn't use any facility so couldn't comment on it. Some restaurants inside the hotel and they looked good too.

I arrived early at 10.30a.m. so while the check-in procedures have been completed, I could only get a room after check-in time. We went out to explore, thinking that we would retrieve them in the evening. However, to our pleasant surprise, the staff had already sent our luggage to our room. I had a room facing Okayama Castle too. This hotel is really near to Korakuen and Okayama Castle. However, it is quite a distance from JR station. There is a tram station near the hotel but it is still troublesome when you have your big luggage.

Room was ready for check-in an hour earlier than the official time so I was happy. While the hotel is well situated for the gardens and the castle there is not much else around. Hotel was also one of the older hotels I had stayed in and the room felt dated. Good for the price.

Hotel might be about 20 minute walk from the station but it is close to the park and the museums. The train stop is near by, just 100 yen will take you to the Okayama Station in no time. Breakfast choice is good, much better than those offered by hotels in similar grade. It would be nice to replace the dated shower head, then I could have a more enjoyable shower.

Hotel is very near to Korakuen Garden and Okayama Castle. Convenient to reach hotel from Okayama Station by the tram just 3 stops away. Hotel is old but room is still clean with aged furniture. Basic amenities, with a small jug kettle enough to make Japanese tea. Breakfast is a good spread of Japanese food.
