Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East

Hotel location is good as it links to JR station. For the room cleaning, it has default you don't need it unless you press the room cleaning button the night before. I ended up forgot to press the button and when I returned to the room, no one tidy up the room, no water with trash staying there. While I also stayed in the same chain hotel in Akita, the way they did it is far more better. They assume you'll need room cleaning unless you told them you don't. Hope the Sendai East hotel can rethink this so called "environmental protection policy" and improve their services.

Lively vibe

Nice hotel adjacent Sendai train station. Very convenient. Nice room and larger than the Ginza hotel we were just at. Very reasonable - three nights was about equivalent to one Ginza night. Tub with separate modern shower was decent size. Sink area small for our two sets of toiletries. We really like this hotel and would return.

Brand-new facilities, fashionable design,friendly and helpful staff, super convenient.

Wonderful, comfortable room. Breakfast was lovely and the area is fantastic!

This was my third stay at Metropolitan East Sendai. Elegant, modern, and comfortable. Fair-size room, comfortable bed, luxury bath facility in the room. Directly connected to Sapporo's main station, which is a large shopping and eating mall, with highrise department stores and offices all around. My only complaint is the lack of towels - only one bath towel and one face towel, if you are staying by yourself. Adequate until one gets wet and you need a dry towel and have to call the front desk. (This is done under the guise of "ecology" - "greenwashing" is more likely, in my opinion!)

The hotel is extremely convenient being connected to Sendai JR station. Like other major stations in Japan there is a plethora (thanks 3 amigos) of shopping areas. This includes S-PAL, Yodobashi Camera, and PARCO. That's not even including the shopping streets such as Clis road which are just a short walk away. Everything you expect to eat is around including specialties such as Gyutan and zunda. Ramen, tonkatsu, gyudon, udon, pasta, pizza, steak, hamburgers, bento, and anything else you could ever ask for is within walking distance. Despite being located amongst all the action, the hotel room is incredibly peaceful. Barely any of the station and street noise makes it into the room and there's a beautiful full length window that looks out over the east side of the station (we may have just been lucky in getting an east viewing room). From there you can watch passively as taxis line up in a synchronized performance all with practiced precision and uniformity. We even got front row seats to a live performance 2 singers were having right outside the station a few nights in a row (this was the only time you could really hear something). Yamato transport is conveniently within the train station so you can send your luggage in advance to your next destination. That way you can jump onto the shinkansen worry free. Just be aware that anything going to Narita/Haneda airport needs to be dropped off 2 days prior to your flight! 10/10 would recommend! Love this hotel!

very nice stay for several visits always pleasant.

All was well till it was time for check out. The staff that day all seem to be not so good mood and were rather curt when we asked for help with luggage and luggage storage for just 2 hours this marred an otherwise good experience.

Location is the best. Right in the train station

Hotel is the closest it can be to the Shinkansen tracks, and still super quiet. Excellent and convenient location if you want to use Sendai station as a hub to explore within and outside Sendai by train.
