The onsen is great, with jacuzzi and sauna facilities, but the outdoor pool is quite small. Next to the onsen is a spa lounge, a good place to relax after hot bath, and there is free flow of soft drinks. During happy hours, from 2-8 pm, there is free beer too. Best part about the hotel is that it is next to ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel where the airport bus has its first pick up point, so a very convenient location. The airport bus drop off is in front of Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo. Hotel is within walking distance to Sapporo JR station where there are many shopping malls. It is also walkable to Tanukikoji Shopping Street with lots of shops, as well as Nijo Market for fresh seafood.

The hotel is located conveniently in the center area of the city, close to many attractions and eateries. The property is beautifully designed and has a classical European style. Very clean and very well maintained. The onsen is free for room guests and it is a great bonus for our stay!

Location is fantastic and many places are walkable especially convenient with the airport shuttle bus stop nearby. We booked a triple room and the size is comfortable after all the other smaller rooms we stayed that tend to be the standard here in Japan. Of course, it comes at a premium.

The rooms were very clean. Amenities were great. The front desk staff was VERY helpful. Double duty front desk/concierge. They had an English-speaking front desk person who helped us check after arriving a little after midnight. Our flight was cancelled and we couldn't catch the airport shuttle to the hotel (check the shuttle schedule). However, we caught the shuttle back to the CTS airport (one block away at the Ana Crowne). Recommend that you pay when you leave the shuttle. The hotel is located about 5 blocks from Nijo Market and Tanukikoji shopping mall. 2 blocks from Odori park. There are a lot of eating places that are close by. A must eat is at the Osteria restaurant located at one end of the hotel. We can't wait to be back!

The room was clean and quiet, and the bedroom and bedding were very comfortable. I also appreciated the basket provided for the onsen. It was really useful and made it easy to carry everything around. The only improvement I would suggest is adding better ventilation in the bathroom.
