Hotel New Otani Makuhari

I chose the property because it had a gym and a pool. It was more expensive the most properties I presumed was because of these amenities. Yet you had to pay to use them. Terrible !!!!

As far as Japan accommodations go, our room was huge. Free water bottles daily was very helpful. Marked down for two reasons, the highlighted picture of the pool is only available to you as a guest for an additional fee. I believe it was $25 bucks x family of 4. $100 bucks to use the pool? No thanks. Outdoor “shell” pool was closed and looks like a kiddie pool anyway. Also, ordered food for delivery. Long story short, I asked the concierge for help and he refused. Told me I had to call the restaurant myself. Yeah, I don’t speak Japanese nor do I even know how to make a local call. I tried to call and resolve it without success. To top it off, I then got a charge upon checkout for making a local call 😂

The pool being closed on Monday should be well advertised, I really wanted to swim. It ruined my last day in Japan ~ I wish I would have read more…..but had no idea this was a thing. They have specific times for the pool & members.

Great hotel, location, and staff. Everything you need. Convenient to narita and tokyo by metro. Hit it.

Lovely hotel which is well positioned to local convention centre. Staff were polite and helpful. Amenities were well provided for also.

Hi recommend this hotel for a short stay for its convenient location. I love the hot bath and pool. But very disappointed when I booked last time without being advised that once I week they closed the amenities for reasons I don’t know what. I stay in without access to the bath or the pool. And even apologise for my disappointment. Well

Excellent View of the Bay. Super clean. Grreat alternative to Tokyo’s chos. Only 35 min short train ride from Tokyo. Friendly staff. Delicious and high quality breakfast. Did not fail me in the last 20 years!

Good location

Hotel was well located in shopping and lots of restaurants. Only complaint that I was aware of, gym access was restricted to afternoon and early evening which was too bad as it made it difficult to maintain fitness. Staff very professional, helpful and friendly

Perfect place to stay if you want to have a bit more peace than the rush of Tokyo. About 20 mins on the train to get into the heart of the city. Perfect for events at the convention center and for parking if you plan to do a driving holiday in Japan.
