I am very very impressed by the impeccable hospitality by the crew members in this hotel. It’s green certified, so do expect the linens & toothbrush etc to be changed/replenished only on the 4th night. I love their reusable bottles, and free coffee! What was most impressionable was that they remember I had an ankle sprain, and the different shifts staff were kind to remember it and asked if I am ok. The ice pack loaned helped to reduce the swelling so much, I will hope to stay here again!!

The location is very close to Shinsaibashi Station and Shopping District. The lobby is cool, There are free refill facilities for drinking water and coffee, washing machine,. The bed in the family room is super big. Hopefully I can go back there again. Thank you

Great ambience hotel, great location. The room size is just okay. But the interior of this room is really amazing. It’s eco modern kind of theme. You can reach this hotel only by walking from Shinsaibashi Station. Near shopping and culinary area.

This is a great little hotel. The rooms aren’t huge or particularly fancy, but they’re very clean and comfortable, and a great value for the money. The staff here were very nice, and the breakfast had a good selection. Most importantly, if you want to be in the middle of everything, the location can’t be beat. Walk out the door and there are 100 restaurants, cafes and shops within a short walk. Two subway lines a few blocks in either direction. The hotel is a great starting point to explore from!

This was our second stay here, and we'd happily come back again. We stayed here during our first trip to Japan in 2024 and liked it so much that my daughter requested we stay here again for our 2026 trip. Even though it meant a little extra work getting to Itami Airport (transferring trains and navigating the busy Midosuji Line with luggages), it was worth it. The hotel is clean, quiet, and in a safe, walkable neighborhood. It's conveniently located near Namba, Umeda, and Dotonbori, making it easy to explore Osaka. The free coffee, washer/dryer, and friendly staff are great perks that made our stay out stay enjoyable. Thank you and we'll be back soon.

If I could give more than 5⭐️, I absolutely would! The location is unbeatable—everything is so easy to get to. The breakfast is amazing, with plenty of delicious options. The staff truly go out of their way to make your stay even better, and their hospitality made us feel so welcome. The room was a little on the smaller side, but it was clean, comfortable, and well-designed, so it didn’t take away from our overall experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One thing we really appreciated was that they provided free umbrellas for guests when it rained, which made getting around much more convenient. Hotel The Flag was nice overall. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was great, and the hotel itself has a cool, clean vibe. But wow… the rooms are tiny. Like, smaller than a youth hostel tiny. We could barely move around with our bags. If you’re just crashing for a night or traveling light, it’s fine. But if you’re with family or have actual luggage, just know the room situation is very tight.

I gave the staff 5-stars only because I could not give more. They were extremely kind and helpful. We needed assistance shipping something overseas and the front desk staff were very accommodating in talking us through how to do it. They seemed to recognize us whenever we were in the lobby and when we checked-in and checked-out, they even walked us to the elevator to be sure we had what we needed. In addition, this location is very well situated to shopping, dining, and train station. Next time I am in Osaka, I will be sure to stay here again.

The room was spotless. The staff were around but not overbearing. The air conditioner worked well. The shower was fine, did the job. The location was exceptional. The only sad thing -there was no natural daylight in the room because the window had frosted glass. So you didn’t know if it was sunny, raining or cloudy outside. They have a beautiful waiting area on the 2nd floor, where they have ice buckets for ice, a vending machine for drinks, they have washing machines and driers that are available- I didn’t use so I cannot comment. You have to ask for an iron and board, it’s easy enough at reception. The rooms are small for but normal for Japan. What I would say is if it didn’t have a frosted window the room felt sufficient. There was no queueing for the lift or waiting ages. It’s a three star which was a concern but in reality it shouldn’t be. It was comparable to the four star hotels that we stayed in.

Very basic, hostel style accommodation. Clean, comfortable bed but there’s no window to look out of, no artwork, no place to sit. There’s no gym on property (have to pay to use another facility). So, it did the job, but was not a special experience.

Staff was very polite and very helpful. My son left a set of headphones from the previous hotel. One of the front desk associates at Flag helped and made some phone calls, made arrangements to ship the headphones not to this hotel (since we only staying for 2 nights) but to send it to our next hotel. The headphones were at the next hotel waiting for us along with out luggage at the lobby. Rooms were modern, bathroom were roomy and nice.

Stay was great. Staff were super helpful. Excellent location and close to the station. Housekeeping could be a bit more consistent with replacing toothbrushes daily like in other hotels. Also there was mold developing in the shower door corner so a deep clean would have been appropriate.
