Hotel was located 5 min walk to the shopping and transport area. The morning light breakfast is very nice. Always a different type of bread available to try with unlimited drinks.

Friendly and efficient staff (it’s Japan, it’s the norm). Light breakfast every morning included in room fee. Comfortable bed, great shower (or bath), his and hers Japanese nightwear, slippers and accessories available on request. Great hotel.

Hakata and Fukuoka are well worth visiting. However this hotel was quite problematic due to the room size being tiny - even by Japanese standards. Also the included breakfast was just bread rolls with drinks, with no gluten free options. Admittedly we spent very little time in the room. I also felt that it was not very close to the Shinkansen exit (despite its name), so the room size, limited breakfast and location should all be taken into consideration. Despite the aforementioned limitations, it is still recommended to come to this hotel if it helps to achieve your travel objectives. Like all Japanese hotels the staff are friendly and it was clean.

Nice hotel right by the main station. Very convenient to get around. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Some negatives. We booked a non smoking room, and confirmed this whilst checking in. However we were put on floor 6, which is the only floor with the smoking area. The corridor smells of smoke, and so did our room, and unsurprisingly could hear a lot of smokers coughing horrendously. We asked to change rooms, and the staff allowed us to straight away, which was great. As for the free continental breakfast, it is only bread/rolls, I feel this should be specified.
Overall though nice place to stay.

The walls are thin and I can hear machinery running all night long, voices are easily heards. A lot of foreigners staying here who are super noisy unlike Japanese who are quiet except when they are drunk. Staff these days are slow service and don't communicate clearly.

The staff was all professionals and understood the good customer service. However, the public bath has no sign of “please refrain of using phone inside the public bathroom”
I was taking a shower some foreigner just using her phone while in the shower, where everyone was naked. I would understand that if she was alone but there is other people who is taking a shower as well. Also, it would be nice if they put slipper rack on public bathroom because somebody can just take your slippers.
Overall the location was easy very convenient.

They provide a very light breakfast that consists of pastry items and coffee and juice. For the price it is a very good place to stay. About a 5 minute walk to Hakata Station.

This is my second stay at this property and I am truly appalled by the dramatic change within 1 year. The upkeep of the rooms has gone downhill. We found several flies in our room. We were put on the floor with a smoking area that is not well monitored as many guests leave the door open while they smoke; the smell quickly filled our room.
When we expressed this concern, we were met an indifferent attitude by the front desk staff that told us “so what”. Another staff member jumped in and offered to change our room; which again was filled with flies.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel any longer.
