We really like our stay at Hyatt Place Kyoto. The room is fairly large for Japanese standard, clean, and quiet. There is also free Nespresso at the lobby. The entrance to the closest train station is only a few steps away. They also lend umbrellas for the guests, very useful on rainy days.

Next to subway station. Few stops from Kyoto main station. Eco friendly with self serve amenities and coffee. Good traditional buffet breakfast. Nice small gym.

Great location next to subway station and when you are sleeping you will not hear the train at all . There is The School Bus Cafe, next door with delicious bread and coffee . Room was clean and spacious for two with twin beds . Staff were very friendly and spoke English . Only thing we didn’t like was the breakfast it lacked taste, very bland I would skip the buffet breakfast . If you need to do laundry skip machines at hotel , walk 4 small blocks to laundry -coin op and get all your laundry done in an hour .

Check in took a long time! I booked two rooms, but one was double booked. When we opened the door we found other guest’s stuff! Very confused! In the other room, refrigerator was empty. As a Hyatt member, i always was given free 2 bottle per room in other Hyatt places. This place refused to give nothing! Very bad experience ever!

I very much appreciated the Nespresso machine in the lobby and the laundry machines. The location was right at the subway station, you can’t get more convenient than that! But also the neighborhood was walkable with restaurants, convenience stores and a supermarket close by. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very comfortable hotel, located right next to an underground station providing easy access to all of Kyoto’s delights. Will definitely consider for future trips to Kyoto to see all those many sights we couldn’t fit in this time!

We used Hyatt reward nights to make the reservations. We have been Hyatt loyal costumers for years. In Hyatt Place Kyoto, the room they is extremely small. We were demanded ¥6500 extra right away for each night to upgrade “bigger” room. No housekeeping service were provided for 5 days. We travel world wide, staying in Hyatt Hotel in many cities. This is the worst experience we had in this hotel. The management is very poor.

Right next to subway, easy to get to, lovely rooms. Laundry washers get busy, only issue is with people not emptying machines on time and staff wait 30mins before emptying. Time should be shortened to 10mins max.

4-star rated, but no restaurant on premises, no room service, no toiletries in my bathroom, no water bottles in room, no view from my room except a tall brick wall, room noise from outside of hotel room, restaurants nearby but not very good, staff not very helpful. Not recommended!

We enjoyed our stay. There were a lot of big tour groups staying as it was cherry blossom season so the amenities were pretty taxed. Hard to get laundry done because of the crowds and a few machines out of order, coffee machines out of order, breakfast area very busy. I guess to be expected but perhaps more maintenance during these times might help keep things flowing a little better.
