Staff were very friendly and warm! Some spoke good english as well. Unfortunately, we did not feel that the stay was remotely worth the 37,000 yen which we paid. We were looking forward to the onsen and kaiseki dinner, however, the onsen was underwhelming and past its prime and the dinner was very disappointing. Nothing from the dinner was remotely enjoyable. The sashimi and shabu meat were both still frozen and they used fake wasabi which felt insulting. For the onsen, the cold water bath was lukewarm at best and the hot water baths were not hot enough for me. The sauna was not bad, but no washable/reusable seating pads were provided and who knows how many people had sweat on the towels left in there. The provided yukatas were scratchy and uncomfortable. As for the room we were placed in, although the ocean view was nice, it was very run down. The carpet was stained and fraying. The bathroom mirror was covered in hard water stains and the sheets had an odd odor. Overall, it was very frustrating to have paid so much for such an experience.
