We got a room in the grand cottage section (room 191). It was spacious, well clean and very comfortable. It looked like new. The park where the cottages and rooms are, is beautiful and the beach is nice too. The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel have different restaurant options that we enjoyed a lot. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with a lot of varieties, the best we got of our 2 weeks trip in Japan. We loved the location in the north, in the Yanbaru national park, with access to trails and more remote places with less tourists and less people. But, because it is farther north, it’s better to have a car. I can’t imagine if we didn’t have one. Overall, very nice hotel.

An amazing respite from the busy dizzy world. Truly a RESORT. Phenomenal beaches and most comfortable spacious accommodation with multiple restaurant options. Its remoteness is an asset if wanting a retreat . Unfortunately the prices are on the high side. If wanting to explore, a car is a necessity. A negative is the 11 a.m. check out AND THE HOURLY OVER CHARGES .

Lovely and peaceful resort with friendly and attentive staff. The food is excellent and the surroundings are beautiful. It is worth exploring the area outside the resort too as there are a few interesting shops and restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk. For non-Japanese speakers, please have patience as most of the staff have limited/no English so planning is needed when arranging restaurant reservations or booking trips. Also note that some trips appear to only accept Japanese speaking guests. In our case we just got the route maps from the village tourist office and worked our own way around Yanbaru forest. Overall, it was well worth the visit.
