I'm with my friend from UK went for holiday at Pangkor Island and stayed at Joe Fisherman Inn for 2 nights. My friend was happy with the facilities plus the delicious breakfast. Room and toilet is clean. It's near to beach and easy to find food by walking distance. Front officer helps us a lot by arranging transport and our outdoor activities such as snorkeling. Will come back again for next plan holiday with family near future.
Very good service and good breakfast. Recommended. To improve bathroom wiring and make sure all nails is fully secured on wood flooring to avoid any hazard especially kids.
Very bad services at reception.
Great staff, great pool, and wonderful rooms. Very classy for a very reasonable price. The owner was very helpful too. Great destination for couples looking for a romantic getaway.
All thing was great but for greater happiness each room should be supply with own WiFi connection
Great hotel with modern and clean facilities. Biggest pool in the area, and the freshwater (no chlorine) is a bonus. Very friendly owner, who always helped guest with information and tips. Yummy local breakfast. Location is just few steps from Nipah Bay beach, the main beach with all water activities.
Really friendly staff and owner. Swimming pool with natural water without chlorine. Nice malaysian breakfast. Near to beach not even 200 meter from beach. Strategic place with lot of food stall and shopping area. New experience with wooden room. Have connecting rooms for big family. Really had a nice stay here. Really recommend those people look for budget and wooden concept rooms.
Good service, room so comfortable and clean.

Rustic modern done right !
I'm having a short weekend gateway with my family and was satisfied enough with the stay.We settled with 2 family room ( 2 King and 2 single) with a connecting door and added 2 extra mattresses so nobody sleep on the floor. I'm one of those people who rather spend more on the foods so paying RM1060,00 for us family of 13, are honestly affordable. The hotel is rustic yet somehow modern. Nice room made from repurposed wood tho watch out for splinter if you bring young kids.Decent TV with selection of channels and cool aircond. In general, room is considered comfortable, clean and in good condition.Oh.. My nephews and nieces can't resist from jumping into the swimming pool just outside the room.Extra point on that. Teluk Nipah beach is just few steps away and the hawker stalls is also just nearby. The hospitality is commendable. The staffs and especially the owner, Mr. Ragu/Joe are very attentive and helpful. We managed to rent a car and a motorbike from him.The best ride so far compared to what we had before in Pangkor. The renting price is also reasonable if you consider the brilliant condition of the car and motorbike. Joe even recommend us a Kampung's Shell out stall which is honestly quite cheap from what we initially budgeted. Breakfast provided is a traditional Kampung style breakfast( Nasi lemak, Roti Canai, toast and assorted Kuih) so if it's not your forte you can just go to the nearby stalls. Anyway, If I have to say the minus point is that, the room is not sound proof. You can hear people snoring, coughing, and chit chatting at night. I also want to mention the unfinished rooftop.Maybe the owner is planning something on that area, but I hope they clean it up a bit as the rooftop is quite messy and unsafe. Overall though not a 5 star quality, this stay is still one of our most memorable stay in Pangkor. But hey you stay in Pangkor to see the beautiful sandy beaches and to chill outside not because of the hotel ! Cheers ! :)

Too expensive for the services, friendly staff
Its just a basic stay and expensive for what they provide. The swimming pool was nice, good for kids . break fast is basic. staff is friendly. rooms are quite clean. They definitely should do better for the price they charge

Different sort of place
This is a bit of a one-off. Rooms constructed of recycled wood and an outdoor pool running the length of the building. Rooms basic but comfortable enough. Very friendly and helpful staff who organised scooter hire for us. Limited but tasty breakfast which would benefit from the addition of fresh fruit. Book direct with the hotel if possible. Overpriced if done through booking.com. Very close to local stalls and restaurants. Go for the 'proper' Malay rather than the tourist- friendly ones - cheaper and better food + always friendly service. We've been to Pangkor 3 times over the course of nearly 25 years visiting family in Malaysia and the great beauty of the island is that it remains quiet, relatively undeveloped and above all, authentic. Long may it remain so.

Basic but brilliant
Mr Ragu is the man. The welcome, consistent hospitality and continual attention to help with any questions or requirements by all the staff, was superb. The rooms and their facilities were thoroughly cleaned each day, plus efficient air conditioning made for a great nights sleep. The best beaches only 3 minutes, plus 2 excellent beach side restaurants - The Nipah Deli and Daddy's a leisurely 5min walk. If you don't like salt water, then the spring-fed fresh water pool is your answer.

Best Hotel with Best Spot
Excellent service by Mr Ragu (the owner) and his crew. Breakfast was delicious especially nasi lemak. Love the smell of the wood in the room. This hotel is nearby teluk nipah beach. You can enjoy the sunset view from the famous Daddy's Cafe which is just 7-10 mins walk from this hotel. Definitely will stay in this hotel again.
