One Avenue Hotel

Location The location is quite convenient. It is around a 15–20 minute drive from Kuala Lumpur city centre (depending on traffic). There are also plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby, including a 99 Speedmart, making it easy to grab food or daily necessities. Parking The hotel provides secured gated parking for guests, which is a great plus. However, the number of parking bays is very limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. They also offer additional parking spaces in the office parking area within the same building, but these are only available on weekends and, I believe, public holidays when the offices are closed. A refundable RM50 cash deposit is required for the parking access card. Service & Facilities The receptionist was friendly, helpful, and professional during check-in. The hotel has a breakfast buffet area, although I didn't have the opportunity to try it, so I can't comment on the food. A deposit of RM50 cash only for the room is required upon check-in. There is only one lift serving the hotel, so waiting time can be slightly longer during busy periods. Since the hotel occupies part of a commercial shoplot building, you'll find several restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Room I stayed in a Standard Room on the 4th floor. Access to the guest room corridor requires the room key card, which adds an extra layer of security, and I appreciated that. The room itself is quite small. It's perfectly adequate for a solo traveller, but I think it would feel rather cramped for two people with luggage. The positives: Comfortable bed. Clean-looking and fresh-smelling bed linen. Strong water pressure with reliable hot water. Water dispenser, iron, and ironing board are available in the communal area. The Downsides Unfortunately, there were two major issues that affected my stay. The first was the noise. Because the bathroom is positioned very close to the bed, I could clearly hear the plumbing whenever guests in the rooms above used their toilets. The sound of rushing water and what seemed to be a water pump was quite loud, especially during the night. The second and biggest issue was the cigarette smell. I specifically requested a non-smoking room, but upon entering, there was already a noticeable cigarette odour. To my surprise, there was even an ashtray inside the room. As the night went on, the smell became progressively stronger, although I couldn't determine where it was coming from. The persistent smoke smell made it difficult to sleep, and I woke up the next morning with a sore throat. I had originally booked a two-night stay but decided to check out after the first night because I didn't want to risk becoming sick. I understand this is a budget hotel, but I've stayed at many other budget hotels without encountering such a strong cigarette odour or waking up feeling unwell. Overall The hotel has several positives, including helpful staff, good security, comfortable bedding, strong shower pressure, and a convenient location. However, the cigarette smell in a supposedly non-smoking room and the plumbing noise significantly affected my experience. Sadly, because of these issues, I don't think I'll be returning.

I regularly stay here because it's close to the office. The breakfast is so-so, so-so, so it's fine if you want to fill up. Hot water is available. The room by the window is quite small. It's close to the mall and mosque (800m).

A good choice of accommodation for me, because it is close to the art performance hall (Petaling Jaya Art Center) is located in the main city, the breakfast is delicious👍 If I come back to PJ, I will choose this hotel. The price is cheap.

Its still okay if you want to find a lower price at petaling or one utama mall area and get a free breakfast also, but need a cash deposit

The room is very good. The staff provides good service.

Very good location, speedmarts, restaurants, pharmacy, clinic just downstairs. A few minutes driving to 1 Utama, IKEA, The Curve. Free Selangor green bus pass by, not sure if any bus stop nearby. Staff was professional and friendly. The room was just average, very bad soundproof. RM100 for a room for 2 with breakfast! For drinks, white coffee, black coffee, milk tea, black tea, and orange drinks available. Noodles, fried rice, French fries, hot dogs, slice bread with toaster, kaya & butter. That's all, no meat, no fruits, no dessert, but you can't ask for more with such low room rate. Although very limited choice, but it really worth the money. Best choice if you are on tight budget but want to enjoy buffet breakfast.

Friendly staff, strategic place but very tiny room. Price keep increasing for a budget hotel, guys, see into that, OK. Thank you.

Comfortable budget hotel. After this, I will repeat again, just want to change to another room, the standard room is small, parking is safe. Breakfast is okay, it's full, where else can you get it, cheap price, ready, breakfast has many choices

Very good for the affordable price, with gated parking & breakfast. There're convenient stores & restaurants just downstairs. Only issue is parkings are quite limited.

Worth for the price, front desk staff provide a nice service, air conditioning in good condition, very chill. But the refrigerator was out of function, and the cleaner not top up the coffee everyday, only top up mineral water, if can top up the coffee/tea everyday will add more point.

Location is fine for me. Parking is limited but protected with metal grilled gate, which preventing others to park the hotel parking. Budget hotel and I guess is doing quite good. The deposit rm50 must be in cash, which is inconvenient for me because I need to eat at eateries around the hotel and cash is preferable. The check out timing is super strict, hence, please inform for late check out in advance to prevent deposit being burnt. Sound proof is so bad, I can hear people coughing, showering, flushing toilet, TV sound, talking through video calls, scolding kids … luckily no heard couple doing the couple thing sound. Hot shower isn't hot enough but water pressure is very good. It 's good enough for 2 people. More than 2 isn't suitable.

My room is 2 queen bed with window and quite comfortable with this price. There's a small fridge, safe, wall TV and hair dryer. Downstairs very convenient with kk mart and 99 speedmart. There's halal fusion restaurant (food quite nice), mamak style restaurant and chinese restaurant (early close up around 7:00 or 7:30pm depends on which day). Quite near to 1 utama shopping mall, around 5 min drive.

Good location, good breakfast, pleasure staff, they just need to CHANGE bed sheet after other guest check out. Overall is good.
