Worth the payment. Breakfast was very fulfilling.
A nice and comfortable room. the beach is just outside the resort with breathtaking great view. just that the cups we used when we had breakfast should be replaced. food was yummy!
- Backpacking
When I read all the reviews about this hotel, it makes me scared but after all i'm relieved because my experience with this hotel was great. The room was good. The food was good and the beach was good too

Great breakfast. But the room a bit smelly.
- Family vacation
The garden chalet was super spacious. My kids and I can just walked to the beach. Only the floor was a bit dusty. Overall was great.
- Romantic Vacation
Not bad but still have to upgrade for the service
- Backpacking
nice, clean comfortable, breakfast is great!
- Romantic Vacation
Toilet window is face to walking corridor. Noisy and mosquitoes flew inside the rooms always. It caused no privacy and dengue risk.

Below average resort
I stayed in the resort last week (21st - 23rd Oct). Seriously, their pitch about this resort was awesome during matta fair. I was expecting, this is a good resort. Unfortunately, I felt regretted when I reach there. 1) No one came and pick us (12 pax) Pangkor jetty. They offered for jetty to resort transfer. Called the resort, they said not in the package. I called the person who promises the package - On leave. and he said take pink van and go resort. Superb!! A week before I reach there, I spoke to that person and he promise to provide transportation. 2) Room - I stayed in Family villa. As per sales person, this is the best accommodation type in their resort. Living room full sand, bed room full of sand. Sand on the bed. Flies everywhere in the villa. Bathroom floor with sand. Really a disgusting stay I would say. Called them to clean the villa again. Came after 2 hours. I just hate the villa that they claim as best accommodation. 3) Food - Worst food ever. If anyone would like to stay here, please do not take package with food. You'll cry. Fish and chicken dishes smell was terrible. Let me tell you in details about the food:- Day 1 - reach there 1.30pm. Too hot and lazy to go out for lunch. Decided to have lunch in resort. They serve ala cart. In the menu they have like less that 15types of food. Most of my family member order their signature fried rice. OMG. Then we order chicken wings. Most dried chicken wing ever I had. Dinner - cooked specially for us. table dining. Fish and chicken smells bad. Cant even taste it. We only at rice, taufu and vege. Day 2 Breakfast - Was ok. Only nasi lemak Lunch - Most terrible food. No one my family member ate. We ate outside. Dinner - We said thank you very much. Cancel the dinner and went for Chinese sea food ( was like heaven) Day 3 - Breakfast - Was good. 4) Staff - they don't understand English. Better speak to them in BM. Not responsive. The water heater in my villa wasn't working from the day 1 evening. I complaint and the person in charge came the next day evening after I really screwed the staff (not happy to do that but I have too) There are 2 kid age below 4 in my family. They need water heater. I complaint politely 2 times. Not one bothered. 3rd time I make a big scene. less than 5 min they send their ppl. 5) Location - I agree it is really good. 6) Swimming pool - average. Sincere advice - if you are a person with high level of tolerance and comfortable is not your concern you can stay here. If you are a person who expect good stay, good vacation, good food please don't waste you money stay here. I will never ever go again this resort. (they claims that this is the best resort in pasir bogak). They need to stop telling this!!!!

Short trip
Again ..dont expect much from this resort s it is an oldplace with old amneties.but for a frequent traveller like me n a local malaysian this is an average place.but it is quite privacy compare to other resort or hotel around. Breakfast is a msian breakfast suit the rate of rn12 for adult n rm8 for kids. Pool is clean.area is clean.noise from the chinese karaoke can only b heard when you re at your balcony. Staff is 'over'friendly n one of the male reception joke to me as if he knew me well and did not appropriately address u. Nice place to stay for getaway from hustle of bustle of cities.time to relax under the sun

A calming retreat
Puteri bayu beach resort has the most beautiful beach on the island..it quiet, calming, relaxing and just step away from the resort.. i fall in love watching the sun set from the beach...however the resort is a little bit run down.. very few choices of breakfast..

Awful, Just Awful!
Geez, the place claims to be a resort, but it is everything but! The place is derelict, and with some serious renovations to spruce up the place. With such a high price-tag (normal rate for weekday starts from MYR285!), expectations would be high, and rightfully so. No one expected dirty rooms, with faulty toilet/plumbing, shabby ambience, and mattresses/fabric/pillows that have seen far better days. Swimming pool was also awful - water was murky, and leaves (and other unidentified objects?) seen floating around. The only saving grace was the cafe waiters/waitresses - they were friendly and helpful.

Too expensive for a very rundown hotel
We planned to stay here 3 nights but ended up only staying for 1 night as we were not at all happy there. From the check in to the check out, everything was not up to par with how much they were charging us per night. Upon arrival, it was clear that the hotel is almost empty, there were no other guests in sight apart from us. Yet, we were made to wait until exactly 3PM before we were given our room. We had asked for a family room, which faced the beach. The room was in need of some serious upgrade. There were broken drawers, the mini fridge looked incredibly old, and there was a broken piece of the balcony. The WiFi connection was very, very poor. We then went to the restaurant to have lunch. It was completely empty, and the staff were visibly hanging out inside the restaurant. When we approached, they really took their time to come meet us, and even acted as if we interrupted their rest. They never did more than they had to, no smiles, no 'thank you' and 'you're welcome'. As soon as they served us, they disappeared, thus making it really hard to find them when we needed something. I had to get up and look for them because I wanted a set of new cutleries. Instead of getting them for me, one of the waiters showed me where they were so I could get them myself!!! The pool was smaller than it appears on the pictures. There were only 2 lounge chairs by the pool, one of which was visibly broken. The beach was right by the pool, but no beach chairs or anything is provided by the hotel. After all this, we decided to change hotels. When we went to the reception, we were told to speak to the manager. We then told the manager that we would like to check out earlier than expected, and asked if we could get refunded for the remaining nights that we've paid for. The manager said that that was okay, but told us to check out immediately. Check out time is 12PM. We were told to check out at 9.30AM. Overall, we had expected a lot more from this hotel for the price we paid. We were massively disappointed and even a little angry at the way we have been treated. Avoid this hotel, if you can, at all costs.
