Beautiful small hotel in old fortress. Our room was huge and had a lovely view over the harbour. Great breakfast, very helpful staff and nice area away from crowds but short ferry ride from Valletta. We loved our stay here! Highly recommended!

The hotel is set into the walls of the ancient citadel. The rooms are spacious, the restaurant and breakfast served excellent food. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of local wine and fruit. Then on my birthday, I recieved a card, balloons and macaroons - a lovely touch! The commute from the airport was only about 25mins, then there is a convenient ferry from close by to Valletta which runs a regular service up to midnight. We will absolutely stay here again next time we visit Malta.

The hotel was fantastic, & made our holiday feel like a luxury getaway from the moment we arrived. The design & layout of the hotel is stylish & well thought out, & the rooms are excellent as well with great amenities. The rooftop pool was an excellent place to relax on an afternoon as well. The staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful & keen to assist in any way they can. The on site restaurant is excellent, with great quality meals for breakfast & dinner, including a great range of Vegan items. Having seen that Cugo Gran have other hotels in locations across Italy & Spain, we wouldn't hesitate to book into one of their other hotels after our experience in Malta!

Lovely hotel, nice staff, good breakfast, big rooms. Only critique is the pool areas isn't massive, we could always get a bed, but in the height of summer could be more difficult.

Much more than what we expected, it's a bit like Dr Who's telephone box, the hotel looks small on the outside but once you go inside, it is spacious, modern, clean, and has friendly staff. Very tentative, credit to the hotel. Also the hotel is in a great location. The only slight issue was the towels, which were very tired and in bad condition, but this was a minor issue. Look forward to the next visit.

Lovely property. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The staff in the associated Little Bastion restaurant were particularly friendly and helpful. All in all a good hotel with easy access to the 3 cities, the ferry to Valletta and the city itself
