The Riad was ok. You pay what you get for. Staff was very nice and the location was fine. The parking was 15 mns away so with bags it is not ideal. Very noisy because of work taking place next door. Late at night and early morning. I recommend the toad but I won’t go back .

Hotel well located to explore Essaouira. Rooms are a bit dated but ok for the price paid. The neighbourhood of the hotel feels safe. Breakfast is delicious and served by a friendly and welcoming lady. The hotel receptionist does ask what exact time you plan to come back at night when you leave in the evening.. As we were going out and did not care for a curfew, we made it clear that we can not give an exact timing, luckily he did wait for us to come back.. Overall experience was good for a short stay.

This is a mid-range riad in the Medina. Staff super-friendly. Decor could do with a wash and brush-up. Bed comfortable. Room freezing - end-November. Hot water but basic shower head. Towels grubby but changed every day. Breakfast, as ever, a bit samey. Overall, it’s ok for the money, but I could have chosen better for my first visit. Would re-visit Essaouira but would stay somewhere else.

Generally a good option. The only problem was my reservation said "free breakfast" and their data said breakfast was not included. The explanation was the website searcher always says "free breakfast". The solution the boss was giving me was to complain to the searcher! After one hour of having me without having eaten at 10 a.m., he did not understand that if searchers give confusing information, the riad should contact them to avoid similar situations in the future. It was not until the second night that I was offered the breakfast. So clarifying this point saves time and problems!

Based on my riad experiences in Marrakech, I was a bit let down by the Riad Etoile d'Essaouira. The check in area was a bit rushed and they tried to charge me much more than my rate. They also wouldn't allow me to pay with credit card or US dollars which was frustrating because I was on my second to last day and didn't have much cash left in dirhams. The area was fine, it's in the middle of the main shopping area and was fairly quiet at night. The view from the rooftop was rather nice and the breakfast was good. Overall, I think a three star rating is accurate.

We spent two nights in this Riad that we booked at the last minute and that was the cheapest option we found. We were surprised to find a very nice and clean Riad in the Medina of Essaouira. The rich breakfast was included and the wi-fi worked perfectly in the room. Just the size of the rooms is quite small. Not a big deal for us

Overall very good hotel, a little over cost, needs better directions since no street signs and no one understood street names when said in English. Asked for TV remote control twice, never given, but never used TV so no big deal. Centrally located with fairly nice terrace. Staff quite friendly.

Nice ryad, very conveniently located in the heart of medina, within walking distance to most attractions. The ryad is congested, the small bed in the Atique was of no use because of the poor quality bed and mattress. The breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful.

Riad was fantastic. Is lovely, calm, and quiet, yet close to the sights and action of Marrakech. Aziz is very friendly and helpful, and the room and rooftop terrace were perfect. My only qualm with the Riad is that it is very difficult to find. Definitely take Aziz up on his offer to pick you up at the airport, as I'm not sure how one would find it without already knowing where it is. I'm still not sure how we managed to find our way back each night, but we did! In all, a great place to stay, particularly for the price. Would highly recommend.
