Outstanding boutique hotel with very welcoming staff, cute rooms with plenty of space, lovely cafe, and literally close to everything! I’m definitely staying there again.zz

The room was spacious, very comfortable and clean.

Large open room, comfortable bed, and nice shower. Attentive staff. Dining area available during the day for coffee or light snacks, and lunch. Maybe 5-10 min walk to the train station for easy day trips, like to Delft or Den Haag. Several good cafes & restaurants nearby. Enjoyed the stay and visit to Leiden.

Fabulous place to spend a night or nights in Leiden. Super friendly staff and eager to help. Conveniently located near multiple restaurants and cafes, and idyllic setting. Highly recommended

This was the perfect hotel for our several days in Leiden. It was quiet yet close to everywhere we wanted to visit. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Anna could not have been more helpful. We'll be back!

Property was beautifully situated next to the Morsch Gate entrance to the old city at the confluence of two canals. A statue of Rembrandt van Rijn was in the adjacent park as this was where he was born. The setting is very picturesque especially with boat traffic in the evenings trolling around the city. We stayed for three nights. It got warmer each night which is unusual for Holland. There was no air conditioning. We had to leave open a window, and there was nearby foot traffic and revelers that made a little noise beyond the time you would anticipate. The last night was quite warm and even with the window open, I was sweating in the bed. As we checked out, I suggested to the desk employee that air movement is needed for that room like a fan or something. She said "why didn't you use the fan?" I said " What fan?" She said "the fan in your room?" I said "there was no fan in the room." She said, "somebody must have removed it." The bed was fine, the bathroom was designed by an amateur and no lady could ever apply makeup with the dismal light fixture over the bathroom mirror. The breakfast they offered was very comprehensive and way more than I was prepared to eat. Nevertheless, ever patron received the same breakfast. There was no menu, just a binary choice of breakfast, yes or no. I will not stay there again.

Perfect location. You can walk everywhere from here. Hotel is beautiful, clean and surprisingly quiet for city.

An overall fabulous experience. The hotel is quaint and charming with a mid century modern/organic vibe. The staff is delightful. The restaurant is on site and breakfast was bountiful and delicious. I would stay there 1000 times over

Great hotel with character in a superb location and lovely cafe area The only problem were the bathrooms. I don’t want to see or hear my partner going to the toilet!! It’s just thin slightly frosted glass to the bathroom so you can see and hear everything going on. A distinct downside to this hotel. A shame as the rest of the hotel was lovely.

This is a lovely hotel located in a spot that is easily walkable to both the train station and the central area. The hotel has a great atmosphere because it is housed in a historic building and has been smartly decorated. Breakfast was good as well. I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.

My stay was excellent and the staff were very helpful. One suggestion would be to give more detail on where you can park with the booking confirmation this would have made everything a lot smoother at check in. Location is great for the centre of Leiden.

Wonderful staff, unique modernization of a historic building. Breakfast was amazing. Close to Leiden University, canals, cafés, shops... beautiful pre-war architecture along canals and streets.

Hotel is beautiful and staff are very attentive and friendly. The setting is perfect for exploring Leiden. The only negative is that the area is noisy at night - even on a weekday in the middle of the night.

Interesting old barracks in a very convenient part of the city. Easy to walk to from the station and easy to walk around the city from this base. Friendly staff. Nice rooms and great shower.
