This was my second time staying at the Hotel Doria which is an indication of how satisfied I was. The hotel is just off Dam Square so convenient for everything going on and easy to reach from Amsterdam Centraal Station. There are lots of places to eat nearby plus the restaurant attached to the hotel, discount too for hotel guests. The downside is a certain amount of noise outside which is still audible even when the double glazing was shut. I didn't find this too much of a problem however as things quietened down during the late evening.
My room was small, a single, but clean and with a very efficient shower in the en suite. Coffee and tea were provided along with a small kettle and were very welcome. Breakfast was lovely, fresh, varied and there was plenty of it.
Staff were unfailingly polite, helpful and friendly during my visit. I will return to this hotel again on the basis of my visit.
