Lovely room overlooking sea. Wide windows opened so you could hear the sea below. Room was new, clean and modern, Bathroom looked new and the facilities and location were super. We eat at Breakers restaurant on the beach which was a beautiful experience watching the sunset and enjoying the good food.

Staff was great. Things do close early in the area. We only stayed for one night and sadly it was a cold day so we could not take advantage of beautiful beach.

The room was old and the decor dated. The bathroom had a small bath and shower, which is also old in style but functional. The drains smelled in the bathroom which then went into the bedroom. The double bed was two mattresses put together, which made an uncomfortable lump and wasn't nice. The bed linen was fresh and lovely as were the shower gels and soaps. Was it value for money - definitely not.

There is a section of the hotel not renovated, which should not be operated at all. It is very old and in very bad condition for renting. We had to change rooms 3 times in order to get to the renovated part, which is much more modern and descent. Did not expect that for a 5 Star Hotel.

Beachfront Holland during Tulip season--doesn't get any better than that! We spent a little extra for the Oceanside room and it was worth the money. The unusual artwork by George van Herwaarde added uniqueness to the classic continental property. For those with security concerns, this hotel had a lockable storage closet in the room with a room safe inside! Very safe. Make a reservation for the Breakers Restaurant. Beautiful. Only downgrade was for a faulty main elevator but there were three other ones fully operational. Enjoy!

A mini town by itself with a couple of restaurants, a supermarket, and a beach. But traveling to anywhere outside the vicinity of the hotel may require a car. There is no public transport.

We came here for a wedding in April. The main hotel reception staff seemed a little jaded; not particularly helpful and a little off hand. This was the experience of us and a number of other wedding guests. One in particular had lost his jacket and phone but the reception staff were less than helpful. The room itself was spacious and clean with a fantastic beach view. We had two doubles joined together as a super king. One half seeemd in reasonable condition, the other was far too soft. They also supplied two enormous pillows which were far too big so lead to quite an uncomfortable nights sleep. The wedding celebration was held in Breakers beach bar. The staff here could not have been more helpful and considerate. The service throughout the meal was excellent and the food itself was delicious.
