An excellent location, lovely staff, great service, comfortable and quiet.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Bristol! First of all, it’s a beautiful hotel with interesting history and style. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home at the Hotel Bristol, especially the Concierge, Tarik! Thank you, Tarik! The hotel is in the heart of Oslo and is close to so many things to see. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet, which was included in my room rate, was amazing! So many good and drink options in a beautiful dining area. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to have lunch or dinner in their restaurant, but from what I saw, the decor and the menu options are first class! You will love your stay at the Hotel Bristol!

A Historic Gem with a Few Quirks Staying at Hotel Bristol in Oslo feels like stepping into another era, in the best possible way. The hotel’s historic charm and elegant décor make it one of the city’s most atmospheric places to stay. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a grand, old-world ambiance—rich wood paneling, classic chandeliers, and a timeless sophistication that makes it clear why this hotel has been a favorite for decades. Beyond the aesthetics, the lively atmosphere sets it apart. The hotel is always buzzing, whether it’s guests enjoying the beautiful lounges or locals stopping by for afternoon tea. Despite the constant activity, the staff manage to be both exceptionally friendly and efficient, making sure every guest feels welcome. Now, for the reasons it didn’t quite earn five stars: The mattresses are on the softer side, which may not be ideal for those who need firmer support. Additionally, our room was quite warm, even with the window open, which made sleeping a little challenging. That said, the location is excellent. Dining options abound nearby, and many of Oslo’s key sights are within walking distance. The overall experience was delightful, and if the hotel addressed the temperature control issue and mattress firmness, it would be an easy five-star stay. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Just be prepared for a warm room and a soft bed—everything else is top-notch.

I travel with a service dog. When we tried to dine at the restaurant, we were not allowed because of my service dog. Later, this problem was fixed.

It was centrally located. Warm and welcoming and I loved the the wonderful breakfast. I can’t wait until the spa opens in the summer!

Excellent rooms but if I had one criticism it would be that it is quite standard to have USB charge points in rooms. We they could install these in bedrooms it would make it perfect

The breakfast buffet is literally the best I have ever experienced, and I am retirement age!

Breakfast is amazing! Beautiful room, really enjoyed our stay. Can experience noise from the streets outside, there are bars and restaurants nearby.

The bed was poor. A 3” thick mattress that was way too soft. Probably my most uncomfortable sleep for a long time. Some staff were good but as many were poor. You could sit for ever without a member of staff approaching you in breakfast room or dining areas. Despite this the Hotel was a good enough experience.

Staff, location, breakfast all excellent. Room (business)whist functional and bathroom excellent, overall ambiance cold and lacked character. Private functions/parties held on second floor (we were on 5th) kept us awake, with the continual thud thud thud of music. Not what you want, after a long day of travelling or any other day for that matter. Avoid staying during party season, particularly Friday and Saturdays.

A lovely hotel, central to everything. Very helpful staff.

The hotel is located in a perfect location to navigate around the city. It is obviously popular with locals as well as guests. I loved the breakfast and the service was excellent! My only small complaint would be the two single duvets used to cover the king-sized bed. It made sleeping more uncomfortable than it should be.

This is a beautiful hotel, staff are friendly and helpful, building is full of character. Breakfast buffet is simply amazing. Excellent stay and wonderful value for money in Oslo.

The hotel is in a great location, near everything downtown, great shopping, restaurants, and touristy sites, The people are very friendly and helpful, I got nothing negative to say (except maybe my bed was too soft .... :-)
