Mefjord Brygge

The website lied about multiple things. They claimed to have laundry services on-site. There were available in the entire town. We arrived with no clean clothes, ready to wash them, and were stuck hand washing clothes in the sink. They also lied about having 24 hour reception. The reception closed right after we checked in. This left us stranded and unable to get help when we realized after getting to our room that there were no working outlets or lights in the bathroom and part of the bedroom. We had to shower in the dark and I couldn’t charge my phone near the bed. We washed our clothes in the dark. Absolutely ridiculous for the price. Moreover, the bed and floor were disgusting. I have photographs and videos of the absolute filth of the room. To top it all off, since I couldn’t charge my phone by the bed, my phone died overnight and my alarms didn’t wake me up in time for breakfast or checkout and instead I woke up to a worker barging into our room while we were in bed naked and asleep. We were yelled at while lying in bed naked to get out. The woman gave us no privacy during this exchange despite our clear discomfort at her staring at us naked in bed. This place was a horror. It was the only bad hotel on our entire trip and ruined the entire town for us. If we weren’t so horrified and uncomfortable about being yelled at naked while naked we would have gone to get a refund. Do not give these monsters your business.

Had an amazing stay at this property! Hotel staff was more than welcoming and gave lots of recommendations on things to do in the area. The restaurant on property was far better than we could have imagine, wonderful food and great atmosphere. Would definitely return.

We only stayed one night will definitely be ba k. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and convenient.

Wow, this town and this property! The staff was incredible and the restaurant was both delicious and open! There are not a lot of dining options around and the grocery store nearby closes early than we thought. But, luckily, the restaurant made room for us and was delicious with great staff! The rooms were great and we got lovely views from both the hotel room and the cabin we stayed it. It seems there are quite a variety of buildings they own so, you can book a room, or cabin, or house in one of their properties. But, the big benefit is that when you stay here, you are sure to drive all the way out to the end of mefjord and That is a real treat!! The view from the nearby pier is one for your best views of all time list. Taking the midnight sun (and presumably the northern lights) from the pier is a highlight during our trip to Senja. This hotel was the perfect jumping off point and easy to drive tot he ever incredible Heston hike. Really awesome. Stay here!

Perfect location for hiking, right on the water. Nearby grocery store to get food for cooking. Cottage room has plenty of space and the property has ample parking. Would recommend staying at the property.

It was a beautiful setting, the cabin was compact but very functional. The property was modern/ up to date, and had great water pressure. We were expecting a water view, however we were behind another set of cabins. The kitchen counter wasn’t clean, and the dishwasher had dirty dishes left in it.

I was in one of the hotel rooms which was only about 1 year old. It was spacious, clean and well equipped. On the 3rd floor there were great views of the harbour and mountains. The staff were very friendly. Great buffet breakfast including hot food. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautifully located. Rooms in the hotel (there's also studios) are convenient if small. Some closet would be ideal. Bathroom is well thought and large enough. Large windows with lovely views. Quite the place... Breakfast is generous & tasty. However timing is limited 09-10am in winter time. Fantastic hotel.
