Radisson RED Oslo Økern

Unsafe. Accosted and threatened by a gang of 7 local men in parking garage. Room door would not secure properly. Management was aloof even with all the cameras. Had to check out early for fear of safety.

Very modern and clean hotel, breakfast buffer is very good and staff is really nice. Location is peaceful and very well connected by buses and trains.

Breakfast was great, but the bed setup was disappointing. I reserved a king-size bed for two guests well in advance, yet I was given two single beds. The staff did not offer a room change and simply pushed the beds together. When I contacted the front desk, I was told the hotel was fully booked, and they couldn’t provide a king room. Overall, the sleep did not comfort, and the reservation handling did not meet expectations.

Nice hotel at a convenient location from Oslo center. Breakfast was excellent and rooftop bar is great! Short walk to metro and bus stop (airport bus).

Absolutely brilliant stay. The staff were all amazing. We didn’t get her name but the one who checked us in went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and it absolutely was. Kids loved the bunk bed setup and it’s is very sturdy. Bathroom is huge perfect for family. We also went to the second floor for Ping Pong & Foosball, kids had a blast! Breakfast can get busy but the quality is great. They also set up some activities for kids to do which is so very thoughtful. The only thing is that it’s not near city centre at all and takes around 8 mins to walk to the nearest station and then around 10-15 mins to town. Not bad but not for those who want it right at the heart of the action.

We are frequent international travelers. Loved the location and the service! The location was a short walk from public transport and in a cozy, quiet neighborhood. The front desk staff were friendly and attentive to our needs, especially after a long international flight. The breakfast buffet was well worth the splurge with an incredible amount of variety. We will stay here again!

Everything at the hotel was great — comfortable, clean, and with excellent service. The only small downside is that it’s not very central, but there are decent public transport options nearby.

For whatever reason, this was the first property that Expedia recommended for Grünerløkka and the results did not provide a distance, making it appear that the property was in Grünerløkka. I ended up wasting valuable time getting to where I needed to go. This hotel is not in that neighborhood. It is also very corporate with fluorescent lighting, and requires an extra charge for breakfast, whereas the other hotels I stayed at did not add breakfast on as an extra charge. It’s an adequate hotel, but I do not understand the excessively high rating and it’s not within the main neighborhoods of the city.

Staff were very professional and helpful and the rooms and restaurant was very clean and food was excellent. Restaurant staff are very very very very very nice too. Thank you so much Radisson management as my kids loved your hotel. We will definitely be coming back for more.
