You get what you paid and looks like the pictures. Small but clean rooms except the 401 room where the batroom smells pretty bad after a bath or washing hands, Please consider to check the room pipes.

Booked this hotel for two nights but cancelled the second night because we got very little sleep due to how loud it was. There were stray dogs on the roof barking so loud through the entire night. We looked out our window and there were 3 dogs right next to our room. We complained to management the next day and they said it was a common problem in the area, and next time to just tell them and they will have someone throw rocks at them. Other than the noise and the hostel being a little worn down it was fine. If you are a very heavy sleeper you shouldn't have any issues. The location is good. Breakfast is mediocre - bread, coffee, and yogurt. Staff was friendly, but only 1 staff member spoke English

The front desk guy was extremely helpful and nice! The beds were very comfortable. And he let us check in super early (8am). Standard peru breakfast. Location was great

It´s a safe, clean hostel just 15 mins walk to the plaza. Quiet at night. Excellent breakfast, with TV inside the room, has a few English channels. The staff were very helpful, friendly and nice to talk to, which is also the highlight of the hostel. Highly recommended!

10-15 minutes safe walk from Plaza D'armas and shopping Streets. Room is clean, new and quiet. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is standard. Price is very reasonable. Close to muséums and sightseeings. Definitely recommend it to other travellers.

El servicio es muy recomendable al 100% ,es de calidad .

El hotel cuenta con comodidades básicas, es caliente pese a no tener calefacción y ser invierno, lo cual es bueno. Lo mejor de todo fue el personal, muy atentos, serviciales y simpáticos todos!!!

The staff at the hotel were very accommodating and had a lot of information on the local places to visit and eat. They even helped us to get a taxi early in the morning in order to catch our bus.

Appena siamo arrivati da fuori non ci sembrava un granché e la prima cosa che ci siamo chiesti è stato: sarà pulito almeno?! Poi siamo entrati e dentro è piccolo ma pulito, io e mio marito ci siamo stati per due notti in date deverse, l hostal ha due piani noi siamo stati al primo e al secondo , le camere sono piccole e pulite ha la tv e il wifi il bagno pulito. Se avete intenzione di utilizzare molto il wifi vi consiglio di chiedere possibilmente una camera o al piano terra o al primo perche all'ultimo piano il wifi è un po lento mentre al primo o al terra è velocissimo, l hostal è in una zona centrale infatti tutti i tour che abbiamo prenotato ci venivano a prendere direttamente o ci lasciavano lì dato che l hostal e in centro a 6/7 minuti a piedi della piazza dove potete trovare tutti i ristoranti tipici della zona ma anche pizza e tanti negozi ecc ecc. Lo staff gentilissimo l'ultimo giorno avevamo bisogno di un taxi e il ragazzo della reception ci ha chiamato un taxi di fiducia per portarci all'aeroporto, la colazione semplice e buona te la prepara una signora e te la porta a tavola. Niente che dire ci siamo trovati bene.

Entramos a la habitación,lo primero fue que no era la habitación reservada ni la que se veia en fotos,tenia una cama de mas y cuando pedimos que nos cambien,no habia habitación, habia una ventana muy pequeña,tuvimos que matar a 3 arañas grandes que nos encontramos,la cama era muy incomoda para poder dormir.no fue una estancia agradable

El Hostal se encuentra muy cerca de la Plaza de Armas, tiene buen precio y es muy cómodo, los jóvenes que atienden son muy amables y tienes todo a unos pasos, desde Bancos, restaurantes de todo tipo, museos, etc. En fin. Me parece un sitio excelente para lhospedarte en Arequipa

Nous avons passé 3 jours à Arequipa et 2 nuits à l'hôtel Melgar. Nous avons eu une très bonne expérience. Le petit déjeuner était bon, la chambre confortable et propre et le personnel de l'hôtel était très sympa et aidant. Nous recommandons cet hôtel qui en plus d'être très bien et proche de tout à pied !

Very nice place, familiar environment, nice people, good breakfast, clean, hot shower, near everything. Excellent prices. The manager is from Arequipa, gives nice and important tips about the city and tours. Alex Gutenberg
