Incredible value, great location, comfortable rooms with AC. I have no complaints about this place. I was "upgraded" to the family room with 7 beds for my first night. It was very comfortable and spacious. The second night I moved to the single room which was quite small but still comfortable. Nice courtyard. Easy to arrange Underground River tour from here. No breakfast, but packaged snacks and drinks are for sale.

We stayed at Matutina two nights. I've booked double room and we received a family room for eight persons. For us it was totally cool and comfortable, because we have a lot of space. Hot shower, quite good WiFi. Stuff is also really nice. Recommended this place.

It is an old house converted into an inn. It is well maintained, and the place looks and smells clean. Not musty at all for an old house. I seemed to have been "an overbooking" (surprise surprise) and did not exactly get the room I paid for (a single room); but get this - they made me sleep in a family room (with 7 beds). I did not know what to feel really. I was happy that I slept in a queen sized bed that night but it was a little challenging for me to sleep in a gigantic room with 6 empty beds. I have to be honest, I didn't sleep as well as I had hoped. However, I wanna commend the staff for being friendly and accommodating - and cool, and personable. I am a traveler with lots of questions and love to talk. They did not make it hard for me to interact with them at all. My stay in Matutina was memorable thanks to the staff and the manager/owner, Girly, who I hope I had the chance to meet in person but nevertheless was very helpful in making sure I was taken care of. Well done, guys! Lastly - I suggest you turn that big ass room into a hostel/shared room type. It will be better for your business and solo travellers like me will love it.
