Room size was great everything is minimal but what you need! Items dry outside over night my only critique was to our room specifically ~ the coffee maker didn’t work and the tv didn’t also but was fixed quickly. The coffee maker never functioned properly and the couch had a big sag in it when you sat on one side. Thankfully we spent little time in the room! The pool/staff/bar/restaurant were amazing! Parking was easy if you’re in a larger car beware it’s very hard to maneuver in the garage. The beach access and beach was stellar! Highly recommend wish I had stayed longer would’ve tried the spa. Next time! The staff alone made this a repeat choice!!

We stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Well equipped and clean. Great access to wonderful pools. Easy walk to the beach and to walking trails - Ponta da Piedade where there were spectacular views. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant - food was delicious. Also had a nice mocktail when you felt like not drinking.

There were many great things about the property. It is beautiful - pools are lovely, walk to the beach is reasonable, it's an easy taxi, or doable walk, to town. Rooms are spacious & clean. Bathrooms are very nice and views from rooftop balcony were amazing - saw a great sunset. It was fun to have the bar/cafe by the pool (delicious smoothies!). The staff was generally kind and helpful when they could be. There were some challenges with our stay which is why I can't give it 5 stars. 1. At checkin, they said they would notify us when the place was ready. But eventually we checked again, & it was ready, they had forgotten to tell us. 2. As soon as we got into room, some extremely loud construction sounds started - we could not hear each other it was so loud. When I first asked when it would end, they told me there was no construction on site, and that they could not control outside noise. It was much back and forth before someone investigated. To the good, after checking they immediately changed our room, and it was an even nicer room. They were very kind about it. 3. Ants. So many ants. They sprayed, but they kept coming back. 4. The washing machine didn't work. Someone came a couple of hours after we asked,, and fixed the fuse. 5. After they fixed it, we no longer had ANY hot water. We asked, someone came, he said he would send someone else, but never did. It was cold showers the rest of the visit. Overall, a beautiful property, but some kinks to work out.

Hotel itself is very nice. Spa is pretty but did have a few jets in the pool not working. We stayed in the Villas which are nice but not nearly as nice as the hotel. If you like fresh towels every day, villas are not for you. Very strangely they only provide new towels every couple of days and are very strict in giving you more. Same thing with coffee creamer only one creamer per day per person. The hotel gets maid service every day with fresh towels but not the villas. I found this annoying as they were not particularly nice about it and it’s unnecessarily cheap. On the positive side, the property is in a great location. I would stay here again and would not have found the towel and creamer so irritating had I have known at the booking.

This resort is luxury level at a very reasonable price. The room was high end, with everything we needed in the resort. I would have preferred a different coffee maker in the room (it had a Nescafe Dolce Gusto), but that's a very minor issue. The appliances were great. It took a while to figure out the clothes washer, but once we had that in hand, we had no issues. The proximity of the resort to the beach was fantastic and all of the pools were high end. This is in a secluded part of Lagos so it's great if you like a quiet resort. It was almost always only 4 euros to take a Bolt to the Marina. It was also only a short walk to the Lagos Boardwalk. All in all, this was a fantastic find.

We stayed there for a full week in April, 2026. I had read some mixed reviews from 5 stars to uncomfortable beds, dated property, etc. which we found neither. We had a very nice stay in a two bedroom apartment. Very clean, comfortable beds, nice location with quick walk to beach. Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property.

We loved staying at Belmar and highly recommend the breakfast buffet. Even though our unit had a kitchen, it was nice to eat at the buffet and we had beautiful views of the beach in the distance. The Belmar is a beautiful resort with several outdoor pools that are not heated and a heated indoor pool and hot tub. We were there at beginning of April and were able to swim in the cold outdoor pools but we were the only ones who could tolerate the cold. We swam in the indoor pool also which was nice. And we used the hot tubs which were nice but not crazy hot. I would guess 90 degrees. The hot tub is indoors and for adults and kids 16 years and older. No younger kids allowed. Our kids were old enough so it worked out well for us because the hot tub wasn't busy. Early April is a shoulder season so the resort was busy but the surrounding areas were quieter and the ocean was cold but people including my kids still swam in the ocean. There is a 5 minute walk down to the beach from the resort. The beach is a public beach with parking so others can drive there. I prefer it that way. And there were no chairs by the beach, not even ones you could rent. But maybe that's because it was not summer yet. We loved Lagos and parking was relatively easy but might be busier in the summer. April is a great time for hiking and we did two of the cliffside hikes and loved them.
