Our stay was absolutely unforgettable, primarily thanks to the staff’s incredible hospitality and guidance. From the moment we arrived, their personalized recommendations and flawless service made navigating the city a breeze. Waking up to stunning panoramic views of Porto from the room was a massive highlight and with the upgraded room. The location was perfect for sightseeing. We walked to major attractions with ease. The on site Michelin Star restaurant delivered an exquisite culinary experience. We started each day with a fresh, delicious breakfast in the courtyard and the bar offered phenomenal evening cocktails to enjoy while cleaning up from the day. We enjoyed full use of the indoor pool, sauna and steam room without needing to book extra treatments. It was the perfect sanctuary to unwind after a long day of exploring this awesome city. The hotel provides both luxury and convenience. We cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting Porto.

Outstanding property in the heart of historic Porto within walking (albeit a lot of hills in Porto) distance of most attractions. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Historic building on one side and more modern part on the other. We stayed in the historic part and woke up to seagulls and church bells in the distance as well as choirs on Sunday morning. Food is very good with a representative menu of Portugal including the salt cod and that heavy sandwich shown in Anthony Bourdain’s visit here. Gym is small as is the pool but good to have. Hotel had a small viewing party for the World Cup final and it was well attended. They could make better use of the beautiful courtyard garden as we had to order our coffee at the bar and take it over there to start the day. Overall, outstanding historic property that is completely modern and renovated inside. Highly recommend.

This is a respite of calm right in the middle of a busy city! Common areas are large and well-appointed with nice, modern decor. Macaroons in the lobby were appreciated, as was the little bottle of port wine in the room. The spa area with small indoor infinity pool was the perfect place to recuperate from site-seeing...and we loved our room itself-- it had a huge balcony with an incredible view.

If I could give 6 stars I would, this hotel is amazing. The room and bathroom were spotless, the bed very comfortable. The reception team were all efficient and friendly, with a special mention for Diana who helped with a perfect restaurant recommendation after we couldn't get booked in where we originally wanted to. The hotel has been reconstructed from the original centuries old building with some fantastic original features. But the mixture of old and modern combine very well and the funky corridor was something special. It's location is set right in the centre and you can walk to all the sights, the river and shops, but very peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend.

Not a five star hotel. $500 a night. Room was bare with minimal amenities. 3.5-4 stay at best. Staff very unhelpful, no personal touch. I thought all 5 stars offered water upon arrival?

A lovely, comfortable high end hotel in a great location in town along a pedestrian walkway. The stand out is the staff - absolute lovely across the board. Food and beverages fabulous (Happy Hour 5.30-6.30pm was super) and the spa, sauna, steam room and plunge pool lovely. The gym looked great - modern equipment and super-clean. Our room was beautiful, in-room amenities perfect and bed spacious and comfy. We had a wonderful stay.

We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel location was convenient and made it easy to get around. The welcome gift was a great touch and made us feel truly welcomed. We also appreciated that there was a gift for our child, which was very thoughtful. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience and would be happy to stay here again.

We only ate at the hotel in tbr evenings. It was two days befote we realised there was suplementary menu for evenings. We were in room 604. This neccessitated travelling from reception to the lifts to get to our room. Its painted black, its dark and poorly lit. Other guests referred to it as the dungeon. The bar area was cold people were sat eating and drinking with coats on. The large electric kept opening. The view from our room was greatacross to the cathedral and bishops palace. Ythe location in the middle of old town is great. When out of an eveni g we felt safe. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parts of the original palace were still visible.
