We were a couple traveling from the United States, both in our later 50s. We ended up not staying in the room. After having to bring our four suitcases up two flights of stairs, our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the windows to try to cool things off, we were met by several flies and other insects. The lodging is on a very busy street in Elgin. The room itself was very nice and clean, so for a solo traveler, or perhaps anyone younger than us, this may have been the perfect stay. It had a shared kitchen and laundry, which was what we were looking forward to. Unfortunately, itjust wasn’t suitable for our age and the needs that we have.

The room was clean. However, we decided not to stay as we did not feel safe. The door has a very weak lock and access from the street up to the rooms is open to anyone.
Also, the en suite bathroom and toilet door did not close or lock.

This place is convenient for the elgin town center and all the groceries are walking distance.
The main problem is the noise that comes into room during eves and nights!
