Oakwood Bencoolen Singapore

Had a wonderful 4 night stay. Booked a balcony room which was on the fifth floor (it was also the same floor as the laundry - which we used, very good washing machines and dryer). The room was large, and the balcony a decent size as well. Modern, minimal layout which meant you could use all the space. Pool area on top floor was very nice. Staff were very helpful (even held a couple of bags while we went to India until our return to stay) and very friendly. Didn’t have the breakfast included, but the area was always busy so that speaks for itself. A great location on a surprisingly quiet side road, short walk to Bencoolen MRT - two stops to Chinatown. Walking distance to bottom of Orchard and a short taxi ride to either the Arab Quarter or Clarke Quay. Would definitely stay again when passing through : )

The room and facilities, including the pool and jacuzzi were very clean and well kept. Hotel staff were excellent, helpful, cheerful and respectful.

Here is what I would have liked to be different: 1. There was no bottled water, either included or even for purchase, in the room 2. No bathrobe 3. The room was smaller than I expected 4. Breakfast was scheduled to start at 7:00 AM on the days I was there, and each day opened late. Not by much but enough to be annoying and overall the offered food options were mediocre. Overall, the stay was OK but considering this hotel seems to be rated at four stars, it was disappointing.

Staff was great and attentive to needs, ensured we had water and free beverages (peach no-sugar water, cola, apple juice) in fridge. The room we got was their deluxe king room but it had a bunch of random stains on the wall, the carpet, and the shower had black mold dots around the caulking of the tiles. I believe our room was 807 Laundry was expensive and we had to find a self-launder laundromat in the area. Entrance to the hotel (1st floor) had so many mosquitos inside but luckily they're a bit isolated as you needed to use the elevator to go to the actual check-in counter on the 4th floor. Lobby was nicely decorated, and so were the rooms. We chose it since it was well-rated for cleanliness but it didn't meet our expectations for that.

The hotel was very clean and in a great location. The MRT and bus stop is so close and easy to get anywhere in Singapore. There is a small food court near by where we got some delicious waffles for breakfast.

A fantastic place to stay, room very clean and fresh, staff lovely, pool great, so close to mrt 2 lines right there, starbucks around the corner and a food court next door, great experience, thank you Oakwood

Early check in, clean room, comfortable bed. Good location. My only complaint would be refrigerator in the room was not cold. I called maintenance and they brought me a different one, but that one still was only about 45°F.

Friendly staff, helpful and efficient!

Staff were friendly, room was very clean and they also have good amenities. Particulalry liked that they have a water filling station for water down in the lobby so we could fill our bottles up whenever. Would stay here again.

Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful pool. Loved it. Spent a week during Christmas and would stay there again if/when I go back to Singapore!

Good location

Rooftop pool is amazing and we enjoyed swimming there. But most of all, this hotel has the best location in the downtown and next to the MTR station with direct line to the airport. Rooms are nice, but beds were very hard ans windows are small. Overall, great location and service.
