Though Carlton Hotel is not a new hotel in town, apparently they just had their rooms renovated and it is very clean, a/c very cold which is good, and no unpleasant odor. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a recommended hotel to stay in, value for money. Will surely come back again to stay at Carlton on our next trip to Singapore.

Just a minor unpleasant experience regarding the housekeeping not replacing the used mug each time I used it for coffee until the evening when I came back from outside. Then, my laundry request was not taken just because I did not fill the form. But, I did call them and left the message to pick up before I went out early in the morning. Only one piece of my blazer, nothing else. I only put it inside the hotel laundry plastic bag. When I came back in the evening, I found a note saying my request cannot be done since no form was filled in. In other hotels, the form is not necessarily filled by the customer; we can make the request by phone. I was quite upset, since I wanted to wear it clean the next morning. As it was my last day in the hotel and I was ready for checking out. But the rest of the stay in the hotel was comfortable and I loved it.

The room was pleasant, clean, and spacious for two. Numerous bus stops are nearby, making it easy to get anywhere by bus. If you're hungry, just cross the street in front of the hotel to Raffles City Shopping Center, which has many cafes and restaurants. There's also Chijmes if you prefer a Western cafe atmosphere.

We had a mixed stay at the Carlton Hotel Singapore. Unfortunately, the biggest issue occurred around 10:00 pm when staff began cleaning the room directly opposite ours. The noise from the cleaning itself was quite loud, but the staff were also talking very loudly to each other, which was incredibly disruptive late at night. Additionally, we found the breakfast to be just "so-so." There was a noticeable lack of variety, and it didn't quite live up to the expectations of a hotel of this caliber. Hopefully, management can look into better scheduling for housekeeping and a more diverse morning menu.

Overall a good stay, location was perfect, and calls from the room to reception, etc., were answered almost immediately every time, unlike most big chain hotels I stay in every month or so. I stay in suites across all big chains, so I can't comment on room size, though it had a desk, a nice sit-out overlooking the Marina Bay Sands, and a single-seater couch. My experience overall was good.
