Dongdaemun Inn Guest House – Hostel

The guesthouse near to the Subway Station and 7E. The owner and her staff very kind and helpful. Will be stay here if come to Seoul again.

Besides the very convenient location, absolutely near the subway exit, this facility is very basic. They only provide small and thin blanket during winter. Also a super small bath towels. The room is also a little bit run down.

When checking in the guest house owner said the room we ordered was not available, so we had to move to a bigger room but with a face that was annoyed and said "actually the price in traveloka is wrong and if you go into a bigger room the price is more expensive. ”The three of us did not want if we were charged an additional fee because we had ordered 6 months before departure, finally the guest house owner gave the room even though he was annoyed. The owner of the guest house is rather creepy because when he speaks his hand loves to hold his hand and goes straight to the room without permission, when the last day the guest house owner informed us that we did not turn off the tap but there was no evidence even though we were leaving at 10 am to the guest house at 7pm, while the owner of the guest house told us via line at 6:30 a.m. When we checked into the bathroom also the bathroom in dry conditions did not look used to water at all. The owner of the guest house forced us to compensate for 60,000 won. At that time we said there was no cash, but the guest house owner asked if you don't have a debit or credit card, we only showed 1 debit card and he invited us to the ATM to collect cash, and fortunately our debit card cannot be used in the atm machine. . But the guest house owners still asked us to compensate, finally we were forced to order another 2 nights at this guest house so he would not disturb us anymore, because tomorrow morning we had to go back to Jakarta. It seems that the owner of the guest house is not willing to occupy a larger room without any additional costs so making up stories like that seems to be us wrong. Because first he had no proof, secondly if the water was totally dead because we were told that our time was only after 8.5 hours leaving the guest house. Hopefully this doesn't happen again to other customers who visit this guest house. For locations very close to subway exit 4 and the location near the Dongdaemun shopping center for food is also very easy, many street food and there are seven eleven beside the guest house.

The hotel is located in a very accessible location, as it's very near to subway. Price is reasonable and fits well for tourist like us who always go out exploring Seoul and does not stay much in the hotel, as the space is for you to have a place where you can sleep comfortably..since there is no TV and other appliances except a fast and reliable WIFI. The owner shows concern to his guests as we've personally experience it, when my daughter goes back alone in the rm (i was at nearby 7-11), he saw and asked where I was. He made sure that I was really in the said store. Sure to recommend this hotel.

Very close to the subway and other places.. its affordable price if you want just for sleep purpose.

The manager is kind to us but I am a bit unhappy in the first two days because we had to stay in the nearby motel instead of our room even though I have already paid my room in advance and I have emailed them that I will be late in my arrival. Their room is not cleaned everyday. Aside from that everything is ok.
