H Avenue Hotel Sungshin

We had a good stay. The free parking was a nice perk for the price. The room we were assigned initially had a leaky air conditioner but they promptly helped us move rooms. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathtub was clean and unexpectedly large. Compared to other hotels at the price point in Seoul the room was clean.

I arrived for a late check-in which the staff were more than welcome to accommodate. They spoke excellent English which made it easy for a foreigner to get settled in comfortably. The room was clean and fresh. Overall a great hotel and would love to come back on my next visit. -American traveler

The bugs everywhere and housekeeping workers constantly ignore do not disturb sign and barging in to my room without my permission. By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had in Korea.

청소 상태가 좋지 않았습니다 연박인데 청소를 안 해 주는 것은 이해하더라도 생수와 수건을 챙겨주지 않아 불편했습니다 숙련되지 못한 직원이 있어 불쾌했습니다 대학가라 주변 식당 등을 이용하기는 좋습니다만 주차가 불편했고, 창문을 열면 공사중이라 시끄럽고 담배냄새가 계속 올라왔습니다 근처에 업무가 있어 예약했는데 목적에 맞지 않는 숙소를 고른 것 같아 후회했습니다

The property is a newer Korean-style motel, with compact rooms. They're not meant for longer stays, but are more than adequate for shorter ones. There's some signs of wear and tear, but overall it's a clean, well-kept example of its type of facility, and represents good value for money. Staff are helpful. The location isn't particularly central, but is very close to transportation and the immediate area is a small but fun student district. People who are sensitive to noise should ask for rooms on higher floors, on the side away from the main street.

Super comfy bed and <10 mins from a subway station. Plenty of places to eat near. Staff were very friendly too!

입실할때부터 너무 바닥이 뜨거워 조절해달라고 했으나 12시가 되어서도 난방이 멈추질 않아 그냥 퇴실했습니다. 잘 수 없는 정도였고 공기가 답답해서 도저히 더 오래 있을 수 없었습니다.

조식은 식빵+잼, 시리얼, 우유 정도임. 아침을 먹는 사람은 미리 확인하세요.

Fixtures on the wall and restroom seemed to be poorly attached or falling off. The hardwood floor under the side table was filthy. The WiFi didn’t work.

Unique classy hotel with good location. Enjoy the stay!!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was amazing! They were very friendly and helpful. There was a small breakfast area with coffee cereal and toast- the breakfast was nothing special but it was nice to be able to pick up something small for no additional cost before heading out into the city. The room was small but that is to be expected when in the city-we moved the desk chair to the tub to allow room under the desk to store our luggage out of the way and made it work while still leaving room to walk around the room. The room had a great city view! The location was perfect! Right by a main strip with shopping and plenty of restaurants and right by a subway station and bus stop. We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks as we explored all over Seoul and we enjoyed our entire time at this hotel. We highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed here a total of 4 nights. Despite being a hotel with an English name and no Korean name, about half of the staff speaks no English, one guy speaks broken English, and two speak good English. They all wear nametags with Latin names like "Justin," so presumptively they would speak English, but apparently not. The aesthetic of the rooms is nice. The bathrooms have bidets, which some Korean toilets do not. That's very nice, because you can't flush toilet paper in Korea. Trust me when I say you don't want to keep dirty toilet paper in a trashcan for very long. The beds are comfortable. The one thing I don't like is that the electrical outlets are recessed into the wall, which means it's very difficult to use some travel adapters. They have air conditioning, which I didn't need but is very nice. Two areas for improvement: 1. While I stayed in 2 different rooms during my stay, there is a lingering bad smell that is probably sewage. It's definitely noticeable. If the hotel improved on that then it would be a lot nicer to stay there. As it is I was embarrassed to hang out with one of my friends in my room, though opening the window helped quite a bit. 2. Get secured Wi-Fi for each room. Some rooms don't have their own router, and none of them have a password, meaning other guests can capture your internet traffic. That means anything you do without encryption is totally open to anyone on the network, including your passwords.

This hotel opened recently (Google Maps doesn't know about it yet), and so the overall condition was very good. The room had some nice touches: water bottles in the fridge, bathrobes and slippers, bidet and underfloor heating. It's about 5 mins' walk from Sungshin Women's University subway station and there are lots of restaurants, cafes, street food and shops immediately outside the hotel. The only minus points were that some staff spoke no English and they didn't clean the room most days, even after we asked them. I guess they were having staffing problems as the cleaning lady seemed overworked. In general, we were very happy with our stay and would go back.

バスタオルが1枚だけだった。 宿泊数分の枚数が欲しかった。

난방이 안됩니다. 중앙난방이라고 하시던데 난방을 요정했으나 난방이 되지 않았어요. 초가을이라 견딜수 있었습니다.
