Barceló Carmen Granada Hotel

I love this hotel, I’ve stayed in it multiple times over the years. This time, I booked a deluxe room with a terrace and it was incredible. The pool is great, the only downsides are that the bar service doesn’t start til 2 pm and it only serves food in the evenings. But I’d just nip out for lunch - plenty of good, cheap options nearby.

Wonderful place to stay in Granada. Property was kept clean, staff were friendly/helpful, and the food was great! The rooftop has unbelievable views of the Alhambra. The gym was somewhat smaller than I expected, and there was what seemed to be a trainer conducting personal training sessions in the free weight area. This made it difficult to use some of the equipment. Would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent room, great location and the views of Granada from terrace pool are unmatched

Breakfast was probably the highlight of our stay. The selection was very generous, and even near the end of breakfast service, staff continued restocking with fresh food. Hot dishes, such as omelettes, were cooked continuously to order, and the fruit portions were exceptionally generous. The hotel car park is quite tight, so I would recommend renting a smaller car, especially as the city itself is better suited to smaller vehicles. When leaving the car park, the automatic exit sensor was not working, so I had to get out of the car and call to have the barrier opened. The swimming pool and sun lounge area are quite small, with only around eight sunbeds available. During our four-night stay, we were only able to use the sunbeds once because of limited space. Other than the size of the swimming pool area, we had a very pleasant stay.

Excellent breakfast. Available good dinner at a good price. Good location. Helpful staff. Availability parking 200 m from hotel. Terrible driving in Granada if you drive your car.

Convenient location. Clean rooms, bathroom and comfortable. Sufficient space for a couple. Buffet breakfast has a variety of selection - fruits, bread, cereals, meats, cheeses, drinks. Great views from the rooftop pool and bar area, however the pool and bar were not accessible to guests for a time period due to a private event, thus plan accordingly when possible to use the facilities. Staff were helpful, however it did take about 45minutes for us to wait for our car from parking upon checkout and delayed our next destination. Overall, this hotel is highly recommend for its room and property maintenance, breakfast and amenities. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This hotel is a FANTASTIC place to stay - good rates for being in the center of town, close to everything, and with a beautiful rooftop view of the Alhambra. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and speak many different languages. Everything was clean and cleaned again daily. The bed was super comfortable. We loved everything about our stay!

All good, great location

Excellent location, but room quality and service fell short The room we received was spacious (got the standard one), but as this was a birthday trip, I was a little bummed out that the occasion wasn't acknowledged and that we were placed on the first floor. Furthermore, our room was tucked away at the very back of the hotel. It felt incredibly isolated from the rest of the property, which left us feeling a bit unwelcome and sidelined. The room itself lacked basic amenities I would fully expect at this level, such as hotel slippers, a sewing kit, and a shaving kit. Additionally, housekeeping failed to replenish the sugar or coffee we used, which fell below the standard we expected. From a functional perspective, the bathroom lacked a bidet, and the shower leaked significantly due to a combination of high water pressure and a poor seal on the shower door. Having said that, the location of the hotel was excellent, with most major attractions and amenities within easy walking distance or bus journeys.

Great hotel, good location. Driving through the tiny cobbled streets to reach the hotel was an interesting experience but the hotel was perfectly situated. Would stay again.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and valued. The staff's warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional. Everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, as if I were a guest in their own home. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable. My room was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The fresh scent of the room and the bedding was unforgettable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, allowing me to rest deeply and wake up refreshed every morning. The breakfast buffet was outstanding—varied, abundant, and of excellent quality. There was a wonderful selection of fresh and delicious options to suit every taste, making each morning a pleasure. What truly sets Hotel Bécquer apart is the way they make their guests feel important, appreciated, and at home. Every detail reflects a commitment to exceptional hospitality. This was more than just a hotel stay—it was an experience. I highly recommend Hotel Bécquer to anyone visiting Seville, and I look forward to returning in the future.
