Very nice hotel, quite modern in a small resort adjacent to Roses. Excellent breakfast with a large number of options. Small number of restaurants nearby and a lovely area. A car is essential to make the best of the area.

This hotel sits in a lovely bay about a 40 minute walk from the main town of Roses. The hotel itself is bright and welcoming, we booked a sea view room which was fantastic. The room was a nice size but what did bother me was the doors in the room made things a bit awkward. Other than that we couldn't complain. The breakfast was amazing, nespresso machine and crispy bacon, yummy. We did not eat in the restaurant. The pool is small but your right next to the beach so it did not matter. We was the only British people there and it was a bit quiet, but I think we was out of season. The only down side was that we are non smokers and guests smoking on their balconies wasn't too bad but smoking at the breakfast table on the outside dining area was a bit off putting.

Didn't like the hotel restaurant much for the price. The one up the street towards Roses was much better. There's a classic little Mediterranean beach just across the small road from the hotel. It's a very beautiful spot. Most of the other buildings around are fancy houses. There's a few little shops and restaurants, but it's all nice, especially compared to Roses nearby. Seeing a classic restored Citroen parked out front completed the scene.

We enjoyed the stay ver much - located just in the beach (tough our rooms didn’t have beach view). Breakfast was very very good — plenty of options. We had connected rooms that was helpful as well. The risk is with the parking - there is free parking on the street but not always available place. But we were lucky to find one on both days.

Canyelles Platja is situated in an excellent location and provides an amazing breakfast, with such a large choice of breads, pastries, cheeses and cold meats. Bacon and omelette too if you want a hot choice. Nice large rooms, with plenty of toiletries. Canyelles is a lovely quiet unspoilt cove, and there is also a bus every hour into Roses. We will be back!

The hotel is really well situated, close to the beach. We had a sea view room which was nice and the balcony was a good place to watch the world go by once the heat of the day had passed. The down side is that the main road that passes in front of the hotel is quite busy (the hotel has its own tunnel to the beach!) and can be noisy with the scooters and motorbikes blasting up and down, plus occasional Lamborghini. Still, with the balcony doors closed this was minimised, and wasn’t as prevalent on the evenings. The room has A/C and was kept spotlessly clean with daily cleaning. Parking in the hotel is pricey (€22 per night) but there is free on street parking around, provides you can find a space - we managed. Staff were good and all were polite with the reception team all speaking good English (perfect if one doesn’t speak Spanish/Catalan). Breakfast was superb! We ate in the restaurant one evening but didn’t like it - possibly a too fussy menu for us, but perhaps we just prefer simpler fare! The aren’t loads of places to eat nearby though, but the hotel had a good bar/restaurant (The Sloop) on the beach plus there is El Berganti along the road which we liked. It’s a beautiful area to explore if you have a car as well, with Girona and Figueres in easy striking distance and lots more besides. All in all, we had a lovely stay and would recommend it. (Wrote this on my phone - please forgive typos!)

I came with My son 13 years old for his birthday celebration, the staff really was very helpful , friendly especial THANK for Maya she is so nice and very helpful, Braïs which was in the restaurant he was very clever and understood what exactly we need and Edel she is a very helpful understanding what exactly the guest need those people they add value to my stay when you come to relax and you don’t know the place you need someone understands your needs . Also they helped me to preparer for my son’s birthday I paid for the cake and they ordered it for me . I don’t like it in the hotel - Rooms is without coffee maker or kettle for water to do a tea , especially the view is amazing , I have the a balcony sea view and it’s really nice to have your hot drink with you , even if you order the tea from the bar it’s not boiled water so I advise to bring your boiler with you .I rented a car from Barcelona and it’s around 1.5 hours from there , the Resturant’s not very good around the hotel maybe if you go to the roses city center to find a good restaurant. The parking is a bit expensive 18 € per night . I booked the hotel and it’s showed in the facilities it’s self Landry and it’s only Landry I’ve been to the city center to wash my cloth its easer they have a machines there next to the supermarket. Overall the hotel is nice relaxing but unfortunately the wether wasn’t good I arrived on the 4th June and I will not come again in this time in Europe:) we can’t swim. The

The Hotel was very nice, but different. The room was small and very pink! The bed was nice. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The 24-hour buffet was very good and included many types of food, beer, wine, and frozen yogurt. The location was great! A great place for a short stay.

Very friendly staff, beautiful view from the balcony...step across the street to the pristine clear water Mediterranean beach. What more could you want! I spent a few hours in the middle of the night on the balcony thoroughly enjoying peace and quiet, the moonlight and the lights from the houses stacked and clinging to the hillside. Loved it...pity we were only there for one night!

Small quality hotel - breakfast excellent, dinner high quality and good value. Only quibble about the rooms is there could be more storage space. Place is very clean and airy with small pool at front of hotel. Located in a pleasant small bay about 2.5 miles from Roses centre Staff are very pleasant and helpful. we would definitely stay again

Idyllic outlook, decent hotel, on beach with a couple of restaurants. Parking v.difficult. Hotel carpark can be purchased extra. Management grumpy and watch cancellation penalty charges, great breakfasts, nice beach. Long walk to Roses main bay where the main shops/bars restaurants are. Good place to relax, swim. Beach bar nice directly accessed from hotel.

We, two adults and one child, stayed in the hotel between 24 August and 3 September 2013. This hotel was carefully chosen prior booking. We decided to book this hotel with Expedia, and never regretted. Their customer service was great, and I would like to mention David and Raj - the two people from Expedia, we contacted over the phone, and who provided really very good customer service, showing their professionalism and understanding of our requests. They have contacted the hotel on our behalf and sorted out all our requests. As we arrived in Roses very late at 11.30pm and phoned the hotel to ask for the directions. Carmen, who was on duty that night at the reception, helped us so much, that we could not appreciate much. During our stay we met and been in touch with other members of the hotel, Tris and Josef. They are great people and our daughter was crying when we were leaving. I would also like to mention other members of staff - maids, restaurant waitresses - all were very friendly, polite and showing respect to the guests. They work like a honey bees, if I may to make such a comparison. A BIG THANK YOU to all of them!

rooms very modern, but had problem with shower and abit of advise, try not to stay in a room near the lift and the "bing" noise is very loud and very annoying especially if you are wanting to have a lie in. The hotel changed my room for those 2 reasons.
