We went in January for some winter sun, we were very much looking forward to our first family holiday with our 10 month old, relaxing by the pool. It was really disappointing and upsetting that we could not use the pool due to the extremely cold water temperature, I feel this is something that should be made clear to potential customers when they are booking, especially regarding the temperature of the baby pool. The whole point in our hotel selection was that we would have a pool to play and relax in. It was also incredibly disappointing and frustrating that despite asking multiple times at reception, there was no bar service at either the pool bar or the lobby bar, even though we "rang the bell for attention" and waited for 20 minutes on multiple occasions. Whenever this was mentioned to reception they just said "try again". We also picked a hotel based on the fact that we would be able to relax on the grounds with the baby, and use the bar for refreshments. Very upset that we spent over £1200 on a hotel and could not use the pool or bar at any point. The vegetarian meal options were also terrible e.g. mashed aubergine wrapped in courgette and called "ravioli". The meat options all came with something to accompany the meat e.g. potatoes and sauces, and looked very appetising, but the vegetarian option (1 per day) did not. The good points included the excellent restaurant staff who were so friendly and so helpful, they worked really hard during each dinner service!

The rating of 4 takes into account the current global situation, under different circumstances this would be a lot lower. I think people considering this hotel need to know the available facilities so they can decide whether it's value for money. The rooms are really good, very private terraces, adequate kitchens, nice bathrooms with a good shower and the maids kept it really clean. The aircon was also a massive plus in the very high temperatures whilst we were there. The grounds are nice, kept immaculate by the gardeners and cleaners, indeed the whole place was very clean. The pool was nice, smaller than expected and it had no shade at all. We went half board, however we already planned to eat out often in the evening, the website advised we could have lunch instead of dinner with 24hrs notice, but this proved difficult due to the limited hours for reception. The reception wasn't even open when we arrived. The jacuzzi at the pool was drained and not in operation for our entire stay, as were the lovely fountains in the hotel pictures. The SPA and gym are currently closed. The pool bar is only open 7pm till 10pm. Choices for evening meal reduced from 5 options to 2, plus a limited buffet (2 pizzas, 1 pasta and chicken nuggets plus salad and side options ). Drinks expensive, limited options on all inclusive, see price list in photos. We would go again, treating it as a villa rather than half board.

This is a great bungalow with amazing facilities. It was a two bedroom with master having an ensuite and also a door to the beautiful balcony. It’s what you would typically expect from a property of this price and star rating, however, what I was not expecting was the poor maintainance at this property. There isn’t much to complain about so please don’t be put of, just aware. Negatives- Firstly the “ premium WiFi” that they talk about is really just an unsecured slow network that I found a joke. It was so inconsistent and the fact that it didn’t have a password was worrying. Also the sink in the bathroom had a weird pressure where the water would not come out straight away, and not turn off straight away either. The “double bed” is just two single beds put together, which isn’t the problem. It’s thenfact that they were on top of a frame that was clearly smaller than the size of the mattresses making it very unstable when sitting on th edge of the bed. The tv’s had poor signal, not that we would watch much of it since we had an iPad with movies.. Positives+ The place is a wonderful village, with reception open 24/7. The staff here are extremely helpful, attentive and wonderful. We got the half board and the breakfast options blew us away, they have the best I’ve ever been to. Also mentioning about food, the dinner here is great. It’s very unusual in the sense of that it’s a buffet, but you can order a main meal (usually 5 options).

Our second visit as we stayed here two years ago and we weren't disappointed. Lovely quiet location with great apartments and a nice pool area. The bungalow apartment is very spacious and well equipped with good air-con. The food in the restaurant was good although when busy the service could be a bit slow but the staff are always helpful and friendly which creates a relaxing atmosphere. We hired a car to male the most of Lanzarote and were able to head off for a few days out. Evenings a bit dull around the bar so worth a walk down to the village. Regular bus to Playa Blanca if you don;t have a car. Overall I'd recommend this place for families.

Hotel situated in a quite area of Playa Blanca that consists of two bedroom bungalows. The bungalows are a reasonable size reasonable well furnished with kitchenette lounge patio etc. There are some maintenance issue that need attention but nothing that detracted from our stay. The hotel has all the normal facilities and services although service at the pool bar can be very slow. The staff are generally very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves a good choice of food there is normally something for everyone. The hotel is reasonable priced and is good value for money although the bar prices are a little high. One thing to mention is there are a number of sets of stairs around the complex and in some cases ramps as an alternative.

We were only a couple, but it was an excellent base both for the beaches if the weather had allowed. The wind was exceptionally strong so no one even ventured near the pool. We chose to explore restaurants in the resort and discovered the best only 200 metres away form the resort, Casa Carlos was excellent. Hired a car and the road network was very easy to make exploring the island straightforward even to the north of the island.

We stayed in a secluded self contained 2 bed bungalow with small private patio. One of 50 on a mid size resort just a mile East of Marina Rubicon and a short distance to the beaches at Papagayo, which are easily the best we experienced. Hotel breakfast is good, parking is free and the pool is a good size but may get crowded at peak season although our stay was prior to the majority of UK schools breaking up. It's a great base to explore nearby attractions - Playa Blanca but peaceful enough to be away from the noise and excess volumes of people in Playa Blana, Shops for essentials are a 15 minute walk.Hire cars are cheap on Lanzarote and driving is easy with free parking in most places

Just spent a week in a roomy bungalow about a kilometre to the beach and about the same to the Edge of Playa Balanco making for great walks along the paths that run along the water. Staff was very friendly, food was good, and there is a restaurant just around the corner called Carlos' where the service is amazing and the food is to die for. All in all a great week spent in a warm sunny climate with great ambiance, great food and lots to do. Our 12,000 km trip to get to Lanzarote from the Pacific West Coast of Canada was well worth it. I'd recommend staying at Ibostar Bocayna if you go.

We stayed here over Easter 2017. This is a pleasant small-ish complex, where the 'rooms' are all individual bungalows. Even though (judging by the number of people in the restaurant at meal times) the place obviously had quite a lot of people staying, it always felt quiet and not at all crowded around the place. There was always plenty of space by the pool with only a few people typically there when we were using it. The pool itself was absolutely great for my boys (5 and 8), but was big enough for the older kids and adults for a few laps (note it is too deep everywhere for smaller children to reach the bottom, so they need to be assisted or confident swimmers - although there is also a tiny children's shallow pool). We were on half-board, and the quality of the food on offer was pretty good. There was a reasonable amount of variety for the both breakfast and the evening meal, with included 'a-la-carte' menu choices for the latter as well as a buffet. The cleanliness of the bungalow again was pretty good, with cleaners coming in every day. For public space, aside from the very nice poolside area and large nearby children's sandpit and boules area, there was also an outside area served by the bar with a small children's playground and a pool table as well as a handful of tables. Overall very nice and served as a great base for exploring the nearby beaches and Lanzarote in general.

My family and I spent 5 days here. If you are looking for some peace and quiet - then this is the place. Staff constantly check if you are happy. The restaurant staff are brilliant - even on Christmas Day they were working with a smile. Chefs are great too. Kids liked the jacuzzi. Two areas they could improve on is having a heated swimming pool and maybe a bit more fun for kids (I had two boys - 7 and 11 years old). Overall, fully recommend this place to anyone!!!

Overall very nice and served as a great base for exploring the nearby beaches and Lanzarote in general.

Hotel perfect for us as quiet, good location near beautiful beach and sunny terrace in our bungalow. The food was good and service excellent. The pool was too cold to swim in and there were never many people around the pool although it got a little busier once the children arrived. The bar and pool need to be nearer each other. Overall a nice relaxing time in the sunshine.
