Exceptional location and nice sea view

This is a nice hotel right across from the beach and tons of activities. Although the rooms are small, they are tidy and clean. The television is as small as my laptop, but we never used it anyway. Beds are hard, but still slept well after hiking all over the castle and enclosed town.

There wasn't anything really wrong with this property, but we usually stay at 3 or 4 star hotels. This was very basic / utilitarian, like a dorm room. It was fine for just the one night we stayed there. It was also clean. Monica at the desk was very nice and the breakfast buffet was fine and reasonable. We luckily had a room facing the back, which was quiet. The whole promenade along the sea with its touristy restaurants and crowds was a turnoff for us. But this hotel is at least at the end of the hotel mile so very close to the old town and castle, which was why we wanted to visit Peniscola. Would recommend if you are on a budget.

We had received incorrect information about the availability of parking. There is none despite the description initially saying that there was some. Public parking near the hotel is very expensive. There was no information when we checked in about wifi and safe deposit box although the hotel does have both. Also they have a strange obsession with you not leaving the hotel without depositing the key behind the desk and you often had to wait to get it returned to you as the staff were all multitasking. However the hotel is in a really good location for the old walled town and Peniscola is well worth a visit

Super location right on the seafront and close to bars and restaurants. Good size room with a balcony and a sea view and a very good bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast ok but no hot food except toast. I would stay there again.

The hotel is clearly aging but clean and well kept. And you can't beat the amazing views (ocean side) and location (5 min to the outer castle walls). Know that you'll need to park on the small street behind the hotel, in one of the blue-marked spaces and use the street pay meter.

Hotelul La Cabana, desi nu este dotat cu aparatura ultraperformanta, nu are angajati care stiu limba engleza, mai putin o domnisoara angajata recent, are un mare atuu : locatia !! Locatia este absolut incredibila, vis a vis de mare, la cateva sute de metri de castelul Papa Luna, cu statie de autobuz la cativa metri de hotel, autobuz - nr 2 - care face legatura cu statia de cale ferata numita BENICARLO-PENISCOLA, de unde trenuri mult mai rapide ca in tara noastra ( 200 km/h ) si mult mai silentioase, te duc spre Barcelona sau Valencia, distanta fiind practic aproape egala, aproximativ 220 km. Ca recomandare, o diversificare mai mare a meniului micului dejun, ar fi benefica !! Pentru mine, sa nu vezi un ou timp de 10 zile, sub nici o forma gatit, e ceva !!. Facand un raport firesc intre sederea in acest hotel si banii cheltuiti cu cazarea, rezultatul a fost in final unul satisfacator .

The Hotel is just across from the beach and convenient for everything else. Staff are excellent.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly! We appreciated the early opening of the breakfast bar for us as we had a bus to catch; plus they used Google Translate to communicate with us and share information about where we could do laundry and the best spots to eat. Very kind!

A very friendly hotel with lovely staff and in an excellent location. The room was pleasant with a comfortable, good-sized bed and plenty of storage. Powerful shower. Don't pay for the expensive nearby underground car park. Free on-street parking is available a couple of blocks back from the seafront (white zone).

Great view from balcony. Rooms very basic. Descent breakfast. Location is perfect. No one speaks English but staff is generally friendly.

Un accueil chaleureux, du personnel agréable et efficace, un hôtel très bien situé, des menus corrects.

Chambre très simple et grande salle de bain. Je n’ai rien à redire. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est top pour aller à la plage. Mais en Mars … il peut pleuvoir et ça a été le cas pour nous malheureusement.

Todo perfecto
