Hotel La Cantueña

I did Not like this place!!!the internet signal was horrible i could not work on the computer or watch tv because internet was not working property they did not have mini fridge on the bedroom and the location there are nothing near by that you can do by walking like store mall etc etc I order a food that took forever couse they just had one person on the cafeteria I wont stay there again

Staff were lovely, professional & very helpful. Room was a good size and well maintained. Good food in the adjoining restaurant despite it being noisy and smoky. Overall a great value for a one-night stay so close to Madrid on a big holiday weekend.

never got to stay at this hotel which was a pity, we were told we cancelled the hotel but this was untrue, in fact we had paid for this hotel when we booked but we were unable to reach the hotel because of the time factor, the european cup final was on and due to traffic and accident we could not reach the hotel, but even though we had paid for the break hotels. com decided to take the day we had earned off us, very sad they did this with us paying up front for the hotel, so basically we were the only ones who lost anything.

I never post comments but I am am this time. The hotel site clearly states “airport shuttle/transfers” under their main amminties. They do not have one and didn’t even know what I was talking about, actually my Spanish wife called because they didn’t speak English. That was the main thing I wanted when I searched. I didn’t care that it was an hour and a half by city transit from the centre because they said they have airport shuttle service. It was too late to try to cancel and rebook another hotel. Also, there is a strip/prostitution club attached to the hotel and 6 story stripper silhouettes on each side of the hotel, conviently not in the pics for obvious reasons. The hotel is clearly used for the hooker’s clients. The 20€ extra I paid to get back and forth from the airport, (public transit, not taxi and multple buses and trains) would have easily covered the cost of a better closer hotel. That’s a lesson learned for being cheap! Now all that said, for 40€ it’s cheap and clean but with no airport shuttle service as stated on their site and not being close at all to the centre, it’s definitely not worth it. Worth it if you are hiring girls from the club I guess. Also, this is no way a 4 Star hotel. Remove the airport shuttle service from your website to prevent others from also getting screwed!

One of the best hotel I have been so far considering quality/price. Very big and clean room. Front office very professionale and kind.

Hotel is a great price, located outside of madrid but with good bus/metro connections. Room is large and very clean, no international TV channels (Spanish only) Staff very helpful and pleasant but Spanish speakers so used google translate and all was fine!

My stay was very good. Just wish I could spend more time there.

Overall the hotel is okay. However I wouldn't consider it a 4 star hotel. Small tv, old furniture, missing room facilities, non maintained building, are among the ingredients of this review. The staff almost don't know a word in English, that's just ridiculous. Wouldn't come back here.

It is excellent hotel. Environment of hotel is good. It is also cheap but it is far away from city centre.

I was in Madrid to follow a training course at the airport. This hotel is half an hours drive from the airport but I had a rental car so it was fine. I chose the hotel because it was very cheap, about 25£ per night. For that price you can’t expect much but it was actually very very decent quality. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the Wi-fi is good and the staff is friendly. The biggest problem is that there is no restaurant, although it says there is on the website. Also, the breakfast isn’t that great, very few breakfast items to choose from. But to come to a conclusion, for the price you pay,the quality of the hotel overall is really good. It’s one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at in the 20£ to 30£ range.

Found out after arriving at 1.30am that the hotel has its own strip club next to reception and all the half naked women were walking around looking for men so needless to say we had to stay as it was so late Nd we had traveled 6 hours to get there and left the next day even though we payed for two nights, stayed At holiday inn express was much better and safer.
