Pensión La Salve

I have recently returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. As expected the hotel was basic but it is in a great location for exploring the area. The rooms can be quite noisy depending on where the room is situated and there were stains on the bed sheets and towels. When I arrived at the hotel I was told I could not check in until 2pm dispite the hotel.com website stating it was 12pm. That was the first piece of misadvertising. The second piece was stating that all rooms had air conditioning, mine didn't. Finally a continental breakfast is advertised on hotels.com but it was far from that. I wasn't expecting a banquet but a bit more than muffins and biscuits! I feel i have been mis sold this property!

Clean hotel, relatively close to the centre. My only complaint is that they don't have an iron.

A nice budget hotel with very friendly staff that are helpful except on last day when reception unmanned and i had to use google translator from english to spanish to order an early taxi for airport...this hotel is also close to the river so fairly convenient to attractions on other side of river

This is a simple Pension style accommodation with car parking and a 24 hr reception. We stayed here as it gave good public transport and walking access to lots of the main attractions of the city at a very reasonable price. On the two occasions we spoke to the reception the matters were dealt with immediately,efficiently and in a friendly manner. The staff were always friendly and helpful There are some friendly neighbour hood bars and eateries , situated around the square at the entrance to the funicular railway . The city has great well priced bus, tram and metro transport services . The food and wine in the city is fantastic and pretty good value .

Nothing to complain everything went well in hotel and town. Next time I will be back !!!

Nice hotel; Location is OK, but it becomes difficult to find it for the first time; you need to climb a hill or stair to reach/leave the hotel. One good feature of the hotel: not far, (5 mins walk) there is cable car ($2), you can take a ride to reach the top of the mountain to see the overview of the city: excellent view.

Very close to Mountain Artxanda ! And around restaurant nice and cheap . If you have limited budget for traveling , I think this is a good choice .

Nice budget hotel with a friendly staff located in about 10 min walk from the Guggenheim Museum and the central part of the city. Everything is very basic, but clean. Late arrivals are possible. The only problem with my room was the traffic noise, which made it impossible to sleep with the open window (there is no air conditioning in the hotel). In general, it was quite a comfortable stay for a person on a limited budget.

Train line a problem until 11.30 pm so asked to be moved to other side of Hotel- get Rooms 201-206 if avail. There is no Breakfast but plenty of coffee; buy bread (pan) at the Panaderia at bottom of hill or store your own food in Fridge located in Hotel breakfast room or have breakfast out from 7 am- pan tostado y cafe € 2.70. Hotel access ok if you're fit; use the lift on the Bridge for good access to Centre.Hotel @ €40 ok for 1/2 nights particularly if you need garage parking.

Had a perfectly good stay over 2 weekdays. Close to Cafes and Supermarkets. Also close enough to town and galleries. It's a little hard to find if you don't know where to look, it's up the hill, behind what is currently a building site.

Room was basic, no elevator to take luggage up, staff was just ok, no near transportation, continental breakfast was just a Coffey and very small muffin. Do no reccomend it.

Localização não muito boa, considerando a quantidade de ladeiras pra ter acesso à pé. O táxi para o aeroporto na volta foi bem caro.

Buena unicacion. Resto de la experiencia no muy positiva. Habitacion interior, pequeña y con camas supletorias muy incomodas. El desayuno consistia en una cafe y una madalena. Poca colaboracion por parte de la recepcion ante un inconveniente de la reserva.

Buena relación calidad precio. Personal agradable.

Eenvoudig hotel, met redelijke bedden. Uitzicht op soort autowegkruispunt, heel apart. Daardoor vanaf 04.00 uur tot 23.00 uur erg gehorig. Overdag Engels sprekend personeel, 's avonds niet. Wel erg vriendelijke mensen. Onzinnig ontbijt, thee/koffie/cake. Wel erg handig dat er een algemene koelkast is. Geen info-map op kamer, vrgen of zelf uitzoeken is het motto. Ligging t.o.v. het centrum o.k.. Erg warm in kamer (moeilijk te koelen) en het was nog maar eind februari.

Ho passato due notti nell'hotel, la posizione è buona in più Bilbao è molto pratica e rapida da visitare.

La habitación sencilla pero limpia , lo malo que olía muchísimo a tabaco.

Es una pensión sencilla pero que ofrece lo que anuncia. Está muy céntrica pero no en un entorno ruidoso. Cuando vuelva a Bilbao estará dentro de mis búsquedas.

Pienso repetir,calidad precio estupendo,habitación solo un pero la ducha muy pequeña,pero el resto, limpieza,trato del personal,detalle del desayuno, parkings económico, ubicación,todo perfecto.
