Soho Hotel

I really wanted to like this hotel, as it gets some important things right—but unfortunately, there are a few fundamental flaws that undermine what should be a comfortable stay. The location is undeniably excellent. However, the lack of proper soundproofing is a major drawback. Rooms facing the street are exposed to constant noise, while those on the other side overlook a community playground, which was particularly loud over the weekend. We ended up downgrading to a smaller room in search of a quieter option. The shower was another disappointment, with very weak water pressure. In the second room, there was also a leak through the glass panel, which made things worse. On the third day, our room was serviced despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being on. While not a major issue in itself, we later found a long hair on the pillowcase, which raised concerns about housekeeping standards. Service at the front desk was underwhelming. Staff generally seemed too relaxed and lacked professionalism or a proactive approach to resolving issues. The morning staff member was noticeably better, though we recognise that many of the problems were beyond his control. Overall, a great location let down by noise, maintenance issues, and inconsistent service.

The only negative for us was the mattress- felt like sleeping in a rock - other than that it is a great place to stay at a reasonable rate. The front desk staff is great to work with - got us in our room early and was very helpful with suggestions on where to go.

Good points: - Excellent breakfast - size room perfect - cleaning room very good To Improve: - The bathroom consistently has a sewage smell, and the hallways occasionally do as well - The lighting inside the room is very poor; the lights are too dim - The water pressure in the shower is very poor and needs to be improved.

Key system doesn’t work. Complimentary drink…. That’s in our other hotel a €10 cab ride away. Cleaner banging on the door at 9:30 when you’re jet lagged. Complicated and confusing light system…. No master switch. No usb or accessible outlets for charging

Incredible experience from the moment I entered to check out! The hotel and my room were better than I expected. Clean, spacious and the service was top notch! Most importantly, the area is central to many attractions and nearby shops. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again!

Manager” Alessio” he is the best person known about Barcelona ever. You can ask him whatever about Barcelona!!! He so kind and honest. If met him you are lucky !

The rooms breakfast pool everything was stylish and wonderful. Arty and fun but the best part was the service. Every last person in that hotel takes pride in their job. I won’t stay at any other hotel in Barcelona. I will always return to Soho

The hotel was clean and really well located. An easy walk to placa catalunya. Some nice tapas bars nearby and a really diverse area. It was so lovely being really close to the metro. I think what really made the stay wonderful was the lovely friendly staff they were so helpful. The pool was a great addition too and a welcome do at the end of the day.
