This is a very nice, family run hotel. Food in the evening was excellent, as was breakfast. The building is quite old, but it works. The area is very nice, and the water is very close by. If you're wanting to stay in this area of the island, we would recommend this hotel.

Lovely time at the hotel, my wife and I were touring and visiting family, our hotel hosts were great, even helped us with laundry in the middle of a long trip. Highly recommended.

My room was awesome - had a balcony with a view of the harbor. I was in Sweden for the Ironman Triathlon in Kalmar so I appreciated the ample space in my room to lay out my gear, work on my bike, etc. The restaurant in the hotel is awesome and attracts people people from around the town, not just the people staying there. During my 5-night stay, I ate 5 meals there, not including the free breakfast. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, especially the owner. I loved being able to walk down to the harbor and around town. Its is around 35 minutes by car to downtown Kalmar, so quick access to the city, with a much more relaxing environment.

Size of family room was ok. However, they were too stingy to provide hand wash to be used as body wash? We had to move one and only bottle between shower room and toilet. For the price we paid, this is not really good hotel standard. Will not recommend.

I got to check-in early, which was great. There was no staff on the site for check-in, but just called to the number next to front door. Keys were located inside and that was that, easy. The room was big and clean and modern, i liked it. Also dinner at the place, same with breakfast, was great!

Just very pleasant, welcoming and harmonious atmosphere. I specially enjoyed sitting on a long chair on the grass drinking my local beer and watching the sun set. The room was clean, modern and specious. Note that there is no elevator yet. The restaurant had a nice menu for a reasonable price. I recommend it!

Vi valde ett hotell där vi kunde ta med oss hund. Det var få hotel som kunde erbjuda detta. Personalen visade direkt hur mycket de tyckte om hundar nör vi anlände. Frukosten var väl sisådär, ok men utan något varmt såsom äggröra eller liknande. Maten på restaurangen på kvällen var riktigt bra med helt ok priser. Det bästa är dock personalen som är väldigt serviceminded.

Bra service med trevlig personal, fantastiskt god mat tog oxfilen båda dagar som var perfekt rosa, god sås med underbara potatis med ramslökssmör mm. Sov så gott tyst och lugnt. Frukosten helt okej av enklare sort dock inget varmt. Kommer gärna åter +++++

Vi bor alltid p Magasin 1 när vi besöker Öland. Vi trivs där. Trevlig ock duktig personal ta hand om oss. Vänligt bemötande. Ingenting tycks vara omöjligt. Kort sagt ett mycket trevligt och serviceinriktat hotel som vi gärna rekommendera.

Jag tyckte det luktade märkligt i entrén.
Rummet var mycket fräscht!
Frukost: vanlig yoghurt & smörgås vill man ha en stor ”hotellfrukost” så är detta inte stället.
