I stayed at Flour de Lac 30 yrs ago and was eager to get back to Switzerland and stay again. It is a beautiful property, right on lake geneva...the grounds were beautiful--just as I remember...I highly recommend

I have to say that I was massively surprised by this hotel. After reading the reviews a lot of people had written, I wasn't expecting such a great stay. Ok I agree the hotel is a little bit dated in parts, but for the price you pay it is amazing value for money. Anyone paying so little are there own worst enemies if they think they are arriving at a 5*+++ hotel, and need to review their own expectations, not criticise the hotel. The staff were about the friendliest I have ever come across, especially the reception and breakfast staff. The views are amazing and the location fantastic. If you want 5* pay €400 per night, if you want great value for money and a wonderful atmosphere then stay here. We will be back for sure!

This was once a wonderful hotel but it is run down now. Other than the physical plant, everything was virtually perfect. I needed a bathtub but was not given a room with a tub. I cannot stand without braces. The single room was small but adequate. Gorgeous area, nice walking trail outside, expensive restaurant I avoided but people who didn't care about the high prices seemed to think the food was fine.

The property is in an excellent location with lots of potential. However, the property itself is faded, with hallway carpets that are threadbare and stained room furniture badly in need of upgrade. The balcony was dirty with bird droppings, spiders webs and generally messy. The jetty out into the lake was completely covered in "duck mess" and the deck chairs were messy and broken.

This hotel is in a great location with views over the lake of Geneva to the Alps beyond and has an excellent restaurant. It is an older hotel that would deserve some renovations, however. All rooms appear to have balconies overlooking the lake. The cleanliness of our balcony left a lot to be desired because of the bird droppings on the balcony table, the sun chairs, the bannister and the floor. Only the table was cleaned on our 5th day, the sun chairs remained unusable. There were only a few sparrows and the amount of droppings suggests that the balcony had not been cleaned for several weeks. Another disturbing thing is that a large heap of broken outdoor furniture is left outside in a garden corner, only thinly veiled behind a mesh, instead of being disposed of.

All good. Loved the place right by the lake. Better than expected. Unfortunately, I did not have hot water on the bathroom. I guess it was bad luck, but cannot be accepted in any case, moreso on a one-night stay.

Location on shore of lake fantastic, and balcony in room overlooking it was brilliant. Food quality in restaurant also very nice, however on the downside prices are high for what you get; decor fittings and fixtures in hotel are very dated and the room was exceptionally hot.

This is my 2nd visit to the hotel. The rooms are lovely, very clean with a well stocked mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities & a lovely balcony with a magnicifant view over the lake. The staff are reasonably friendly but both times I've felt let down by the poor breakfast selection and bar service. There are cereals, lovely fresh bread, ham, cheese and yogurts. The only concession to hot food is a tray of scrambled egg which had run out & no attempt was made to refill it at just gone 9am when breakfast is served until 10. The waitress when asked whether it would be possible to have an omelette said no! Its all self service with the exception of coffee. Similarly in the bar at night it seems inconvenient to ask for wine because it has to be collected or brought down from the restaurant on tne 1st floor! Definitely a bit like Fawlty Towers Swiss style & for the price I'd expect a little more customer service rather than being made to feel difficult. I'd probably try somewhere else next time I visit Morges-disappointing

Was met by a very friendly person in the reception. We chatted a bit while I checked in. Nice first impression. Tried out the hotel restaurant which turned out to be a pleasant choice. A bit on the expensive side but worth the money. Many locals. The morning was spent sitting on the balcony overlooking Lake Geneva. No air conditioning what I could see, luckily there was no need for it during my stay. I would come back to this hotel.

Zimmer sind schlicht und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Für uns war die Matraze allerdings zu weich. Am meisten genossen wir, das Rauschen des Sees, welches wir im Bett hören konnten. Service war gut, stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück war lecker, wir haben nichts vermisst.

Sensationelle LAge, ein sehr gutes Restaurant und sehr motivierte Mitarbeiter. Kann ich nur empfehlen! Lustig war allerdiings, dass wir am Samstag im Restaurant einen Tisch für den nächsten Tag reserviert haben, aber am ächsten Tag hatten sie geschlossen. Ein gutes Abenedessen haben wir dann auch im Restuarant Casino bekommen.

Hotellet ligger flot lige ud til Geneve søen. Hotellet er desværre nedslidt og trænger til renovering. Ifølge informationen, var der kaffemaskine på værelset, det var der ikke. Da vi bad om en, fik en leveret men den virkede ikke. Køleskabet var tilsluttet men kunne ikke køle. Restauranten var lukket, og der 1,5 km til nærmeste. Til gengæld var morgen buffeten ok.
