Formosa Corridor Hotel

When checked in , I was informed by the front desk that the room has been upgraded. But I'm not the golden award membership. The receptionist gave us two ice cream exchange coupons,and told us these can be use anytime. There are some snacks jar on a corner table beside the front desk. The room is spacious. We have two simple sofas, two bedside tables, a led TV,a hair dryer,a small refrigerator and a king size bed in it. The bed is big , but too hard for me. There is only a shower space in bathroom.

I was surprised at how much we enjoyed staying at this hotel. I chose it for its location, but the pictures didn't make it seem that nice. The hotel is old, but the rooms seem newly renovated. We had a room with two double beds, and still had a sitting area and a small desk. The bathroom was very large, with an outside sink, a sink and toilet in one side, and a shower and bathtub in the other. The service at the front counter is good. In addition to breakfast coupons, we also got coupons for ice cream from the lobby. The manager even gave us some without the coupons! The breakfast was good. In terms of Western food there was cereal, toast, cake, fruit, and coffee. There was a lot more variety for Chinese food: congee, soymilk, miso soup, sweet baozi and mantou, a noodle station, rice, and various dishes to go with the rice, such as chawanmushi and pork stew.

The location is really good with many eateries close by and the hotel is clean with view of the city. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Room rates are reasonable too for that area.
