Clean room. During check-in, i had asked for another pillow. The staff were very professional and managed to have it delivered within 5 mins of me entering my room. The pool is closed daily between 12pm-1.30pm. I went for a swim at about 11.30am and the staff had respectfully informed me of the closure and to ensure i was done before then.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are traveling around Taiwan. The food is excellent and staff is very friendly and helpful.

It's hard to believe that this hotel is only 7 years old. Lots of wear and tear. Staying in a family room with two queen-size beds on the 11th floor. The bed was clearly well slept on; the springs showed signs of tiredness. The laminate floor had two big loose pockets, hollow underneath the floor. We stayed at the hotel 3 years ago when it was only 4 years old; there were stains on the hallway carpet. The bedroom is clean enough, but the toilet had a hint of urine smell. The breakfast has plenty choices, as usual in Taiwan hotels, the beacons were not the American crispy pan fried style, but steam soaked in water. Apart from that, abundant choices . staff is friendly We Probably will try other hotels next time we're in Tainan.

Overall, the stay was fine, but not great. We had two rooms, one for us + kids, the other for sister in law. No major issues with our room but sister in law's room toilet leaked - that's why overall 3 stars. Pros: Great location Nice, spacious rooms (notwithstanding leaky toilet) Price/value was reasonable Gym was nice, pool was great (kids loved it) Free parking Breakfast pretty good Staff helpful and polite Cons: Wife unimpressed by the cleanliness. I thought it was pretty clean. None of us slept well. I think because 1) they only had fairly thick blankets so you either had to blast the AC, or turn it quite low and basically not use the blankets, and 2) pillows were not comfortable. Booked for two adults, with breakfast for two adults. We had our three kids with us (10, 6, 4). We're used to places including the kids for free or half price. They based it on height, and only our 4 year old was free. I suppose that is relatively reasonable (just a different arbitrary rule that happened to work against our tall kids) but they wanted to charge $630 TWD per person for our two older kids, which in Taiwan would be insanity given how cheap and good and ubiquitous breakfast options are just outside the hotel.
