Staff do not know our package include breakfast- No toilet roller holder - short of cloth hanger in the bathroom - breakfast is super good

The location is good and very convenient to ferry. However, the suite was in the basement with wet bath. Room was small. Towel was not clean.

The family room that was given to me was located on the basement. There was no window for the room. On the way from the lobby to my room, I saw cartons of mineral water and big bags of bed sheet stored along the walkway. I was worried that if there was a fire, it would be difficult for my family to evacuate to safety. The room was too dim for family room.

The Hotel calls itself "Modern Hotel" but the rooms generally are average with exception that the room had a whirlpool bath!! The bath is GREAT but the rest of the hotel is average compared with the actual and modern hotel eg across the street which costs the same as this hotel.

My family and I booked two rooms and stayed 2 nights. Our stay was very pleasant while we were there. Some people might complain about the room sizes, but for us it was just fine. The hotel is actually a hotel and a guesthouse, so if you do experience the smaller rooms, you are probably in the guesthouse (which is just as fine). We experienced two types of bathrooms, The one in our room has a standalone shower, the other room had a "shoilet" which means the there is no division for the shower in the room. For people who have never been to Taiwan, these type of bathrooms can be surprising, but it's something that is common (so it was no surprise for us). The hotel staff was extremely friendly and did their best to help us in any capacity. They explained different fun things you can do around the Sun Moon Lake. There is also a simple breakfast in the morning, but it does the job and fills you up. Like the listing says, it really is right next to the lake. It's a 30 second walk down a hill and you're right at the dock where you get on the boats to go around the lake. The hotel is also is a very active area. Food, shopping, and other activities are also right next door, so you're never far from something to do. Overall we enjoyed our stay and if we ever return we'd probably stay here again.

I was in this hotel in 2012. This recent visit was a nice surprise in that we no longer have to carry our luggage up the steep stairs - they can go up an elevator now. The room, especially the bathroom, looked newly renovated.

The people running the hotel were actually quite nice and attentive; however, the pictures of the room don't match up with our stay at all. The room was dirty and the bathroom was almost useless especially since using the shower flooded the bathroom. Our room was in the basement with poor wifi, and the air conditioner didn't work hardly at all. The free breakfast was a reason why we picked this hotel over others, but it was poor and made us regret our decision. Overall, the high price doesn't match up with what we got.

A great little family run hotel right in the middle of Shueishe. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff were always willing to help with anything we needed. Could not ask for anything more, especially for the price we paid.

It was not a decent place to stay. We will not book this hotel again. The two old ladies at the front desk (though nice) could not speak English. The room was not clean. Breakfast the following morning was awful. No view of the lake. We decided to checkout after one night and checked in the hotel opposite.

Very friendly staff. The beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast tasted great. Right near the sun moon lake. Happy with this hotel.

Room though not that big but good for a family of four with lift access.

The hotel was in an excellent location. My room was in the basement so I had no view. The staff did not speak very much English but were very helpful. A western style breakfast was provided.
