SHAN-YUE hotspring hotel

Staff are nice. Amenities old but all working great. Breakfast is good even though same items everyday.

Location was great, super close to the MRT station. Hotel was nicely decorated but the rooms are a bit small and our door lock is on the verge of breaking. It was also very dark inside, not good for applying makeup or reading. Breakfast was ok, could use more variety and they didn’t clear the dishes off our table until we left. It was a decent stay overall

Mattresses are old

The elevator was dark and quite scary. The room was cold and moldy and lights in the room was not bright enough. The receptionist was not patient and made us felt not welcome. There was no hand soap in the room so that I had to use body wash to wash my hands which is not convenient. Overall, this hotel needs to improve their basic services and facilities.

Do not like the late check-in and early checkout policy.

The facility is old and dated. The onsen is dirty and many parts are broken. The staff is very rude with ALL clients! Zero customer service skill. They even call 10 mins before check out urging me to check out before the official time…

The pictures look promising and the spa looks luring. The area has many hidden gems along the hot springs roll. This place, however, is not one of them. First strike, the check-in time is 5ish which is not what you like to hear after an exhausting flight. Also speaks for the size of the place. Room 233 has no window and the room has a mechanic buzzing noise. That’s strike two. The place is quite old and the staff relying walkie-talkie to manage the hotel. So this is old without the charm. Nuff said

Available right at the doorstep of the hotel is a bus that can bring you to Yangmingshan. The in-room hot spring is great, but the hotel public spring needs improvement. Staff were amazing in helping us get our bearings and arrange for tours/services. Comfortable stay.

I like the private hotsspring in the room. however the wifi is not good in the room.

Property does not have window!!! The room was at 3rd floor but all windows are blocked by some white stone (or plastic?). You may see the sun light though the stone but it only give you some hints about time. They said it is for the safety during the Typhoon but you may find reviews about windows way before. I bet it is due to the privacy. The building is surrounded by taller buildings and you dont have to be a genuine to find out some one may see you through window when you are in the toilet or bath room. (Room structure is a bit unique. You have a room and entire out side wall is bath room and toilet area which means is even if the window is exist, you will see the view through window.) Apart from that, breakfast was descent and bath water was great. You will see milky hot spring water color and feel.the difference.

The "rules" are like a scam. The checkin time shows 8pm which makes no sense), so I called to see if I can checkin before that. The hotel staff told me I could checkin at 3pm, but once I arrived at 4pm. They told me no checkin unless I pay more, so I did. :( Very unhappy about this.

Stayed there for one night. They only gave you one pass for the outdoor hot spring area. Wish it's an unlimited access for people who stay in the hotel. Also check-in time is 6pm, later than other hotels. Breakfast choice is also so-so.

Room is clean, too bad only 1 time per person per nite for the hotel hotspring. But on the other hand, good is you can have hotspring bath in yr own room

Very solid hot springs hotel right by the main railway station. The in-room facilities were great, the tub was nice and the hot spring water left our skins feeling great. The communal spring was nothing to write home about, being not so different from a typical hotel jaccuzi with hot spring water. Breakfast was solid, not spectacular. Overall would recommend although there are certainly more expensive options around that offer a bit more.

The hotel location is great, just 5 mins walk to the New Beitou station. The room is big and hot spring within the bathroom is awesome. However, the customer service at the reception counter needs to be improved. Moreover, there is only one mirror in the bathroom which is not convenient.
