Convenient location. Old hotel but clean rooms and friendly staff

Small window by sink was only light coming into room; rusty fridge; outdated bathroom- prefer wall between toilet & shower

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and adjacent to a shopping mall. However, it is in desperate need of maintenance as the condition is extremely rundown. The water cooler was so dirty that I didn’t feel comfortable refilling my water bottle. The fridge in the room was rusty, the bed was sunken, and there was no holder for the toilet roll. The shower curtain was makeshift, hanging on a rusty rod. The internet connection was painfully slow, and the presence of a different name on the signage made it feel like it’s no longer TwinStar Hotel. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my stay.

My wife and I stayed for three nights at this hotel. The staff was professional and very very courteous. They made us feel so welcomed. I would highly recommend this place.

This is a very old property. The lift is small and old. The bath room is very small and the toilet is right in the front of the door. The WiFi is terrible, especially for iPhone (no signal at all). the location is convenient, but I will not recommend this hotel.

Location, Location, Location! Not the newest, fanciest or nicest of hotels but definitely the most convenient! Right next door to Taroko Mall which has everything - food court, Carrefour (kind of like Walmart but nicer), McDs, Starbucks, Daiso, movie theaters, lots of boutique shopping, etc. Also right across the street from Taichung Train Station. Numerous bus stops all around. All of the hotel staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. We were given breakfast buffet tickets for each morning of our stay and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The room decor and furniture were tired and dated but the bathroom and linens were clean.

The location of this hotel is excellent, but the facility should be remodeled because it is not clean, and the walls are not soundproof. You can hear people talking and the sound of a hairdryer. I couldn’t sleep until very late at night. When we came out of the elevator, you could smell something. After we went to the room, I could tell it was not a nonsmoking room. So we called the front desk, and they changed our room. The second one was much better, but you could still smell something. But their customer service was good, and they tried to help us solve the problem immediately. They do provide breaskfast, and it was not that good but acceptable. I can only rate them 2/5 overall. I will definitely not go back again.

Room was spacious. Double bed. Sofa. Dining table. TV small. Room old furnishing. But kept clean. Staff are v friendly. Breakfast v basic. Mostly carbo and fried or preserved food. Location v good.near train station. 5min walk.

The facilties are old and run down. Did not have a chair in my room. Does not use key cards. No safe storage in room. No cable tv and no English language tv stations available. No washes or dryers. Does not send out laundry. Have to walk down the street and do it yourself at laundramat.

very nice hotel overall!! the staff were really helpful and sweet. there are quite a lot of choices for the breakfast as well. the only thing is that the amenities (shower head, tv, etc) are a little older but it's honestly not a big deal, they work pretty well!

Hotel was very run down and extremely noisy. It was reasonably clean. Unfortunately tour groups in hotel thought it was ok to leave the room doors open and all socialise right outside our door , which meant we got very little sleep as were very loud. Staff were lovely and hotel position was excellent.

Big rooms and very close to train station

The staff service are excellent. We got a few upgrade as well. But the hotel is pretty old. The bathtub shower is not friendly. My wife took a few tumble while showering.
