Yahu Hotel

The hotel was clean & cozy. The staff of the hotel was friendly and willing to help. Highly recommend if you need to stay at Fenqihu.

The location of the hotel is in Fenhiqu and this is out of the way if your primary destination is Alishan. I was told that no bus goes direct to Alishan from Fenhiqu only a couple go to Chiayi City. The city is a better base if getting rooms in Alishan is difficult because buses to Alishan leave every hour. But Fenqihu itself is a nice quiet tourist area with a quaint train station and lots of forest trails and not crowded. Yahu Hotel is located in the old street and very close to the train and bus stations. The reception office is in another building across the pedestrian street. The staff is very kind and accommodating. She even accompanied me to the bus station so I won't be able to miss the only bus in the morning. If you want peace and quiet in a forested environment then Fenhiqu is a place to go. No crowds!

Very close to fenqihu laojia and fenquhu train. There the bus to Alishan or Chiayi just 5 mins walk but the bus quite limited have to plan ahead. The hotel is kind of Japanese style not new but cool. The restaurant just around.
