Great location - close to Taipei main station and a lot of food options where the locals eat. Great for an authentic leas touristy experience.

No housekeeping during your stay and told to bring the rubbish out myself.

Conveniently located hotel as it's fairly close to Taipei Main Station and Ximending. Also close to 228 Peace Park and Taiwan Museum. There are so many adjacent eateries which are open till late so you'll never go hungry (not a good spot tho if you're averse to the smell of food - don't worry, it doesn't reach the rooms). The rooms are relatively small but clean. There's no daily room service (they charge for cleaning), but you can give the cleaning lady your trash or leave your bin in front of your room for them to empty. Towel replacement is free but on request. Unfortunately as bathrooms aren't cleaned daily, you can see some black mould stains on the bathroom cubicle seals - this seems to be a problem around Taiwan hotels maybe due to the humidity. The bathroom is actually clean, the black mould stain is just unsightly and I am peculiar when it comes to this. Female staff seem to struggle with English but not the male ones. Overall, a pleasant place to stay and would book it again. Hope my review helps in making your choice!

All is good, except that the soundproofing isn’t good enough, and hence can hear luggages moving around in the middle of the night when other customers comes in/went out

The hotel is located on the 4th floor of one of the building in the bustling tutoring lane in Taipei downtown which makes it super easy (and cheap!) to find a variety of local tasty food from early breakfast till late night supper. The staff replied email quickly and one staff at hotel could speak good English. Reception is 24-hour hence very convenient. Room was nice, clean, and well-design. It's not very big but we knew it since we booked. If you don't bring huge luggage, there will be enough space for at least 2 carry-ons. Water pressure was strong. Hot water available all the time. Highly recommended! :)

Great location friendly staff but the bed is not comfortable at all. Overall good and satified with the cost we pay.

1. The location is pretty awesome! Its in the heart of all where the foods are. I would stay here again! 2. Booking from Expedia is way cheaper than booking direct, you’ll save more than 30% 3. Safe. You need a key card to access to go to your respective floor 4. Female staff: a bit hard to communicate with. Male staff: no problem 5. Cleaning staff: excellent!

I have been to Taipei many times and stayed in various hotel, I have had a bad experience with this hotel, The wifi is very slow I waited 5 minutes to send out a simple text message. The shower basin flooded after minutes I turned on the water tap. Hair found on the bed sheet, The air conditioner facing the bed....etc. The location is very good though.

Situated in the street of tuition classes (what I had been told), food were easily to find and yummy to eat, walking distance to Taipei Station~ Small room with limited space, but all basic amenities are available despite the small space, good planning and storage ideas~!

I love everything of this hotel :-) Definitely come back again .

Near Taipei Main Station (close to several train and metro services and bus lines).

I thought there will be someone to clean my room everyday, but no....

Room (private, single, shared bathroom) is exactly as shown on the website. Stayed on basement 1. Room may be claustrophobic to those not used to confined spaces. Will be fine just as a place to sleep. Toilet is relatively clean. Common area is really homely and nicely designed - water, coffee and tea provided. Contrary to older reviews, WIFI is strong with a few connections to choose from. Pleasant enough for a two-night stay in Taipei, while on a budget.

The room is tiny; 2 light bulbs still very dark. The night bulbs and shades are dusty. The "bed" is actually two wooden boards put together with a very soft mattress on top; its not very supportive and if you have back pain, be warned! The TV is on the wall at the end of the "bed" which I was worried that my foot will smash it in the night. The design is really odd, just a 3/4 ft above the "bed", there was a concrete above, maybe they were thinking of putting another mattress above to make it into another "bed" above. Kind of giving you claustrophobic feeling. I was staying in the basement; apart from the first time I went into the hotel room I was greeted by the hotel staff who sat by the lift; then I have never seen any staff whether it is very late into the night, early in the morning. The front desk is on the 4th floor of the building; I think they occupied a few floors. Well the staff are in general helpful. They will not change the towel for your stay. The toilets and shower rooms are outside but each cubicle is really tiny. the shower rooms are dirty with mold on the wall. Horrfying! The TV just showed programs in local languages. It was not a pleasant stay I would say. I wont recommend it to my friends.

four of us stay one night for the ease of going to aiport on the next early morning. Clean and comfortable. Easy to locate as Long as you can find ceasar hotel.
