We had a fantastic two-night stay at Amatara Wellness Resort in a Pavilion Pool Room. The room was beautiful—spacious, private, and having our own pool made it feel really special and relaxing. The resort itself is stunning, with peaceful surroundings and a real sense of luxury throughout. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Given the resort’s hillside setting, the buggy service was a real bonus. Staff were always happy to collect us from our room and take us to the lobby or even down to the main road, and the gatehouse could easily arrange pick-up and drop-off as needed. It made getting around effortless despite the steep layout. It was the perfect relaxing way to end our holiday—we left feeling completely unwound and very well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

My partner and I stayed here for 9 days. We had a really enjoyable stay overall and would happily return. The hotel itself was well presented, and our room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with great in-room amenities. Housekeeping was consistently prompt and did a fantastic job each day, which we really appreciated. The service across the hotel was also excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. We also enjoyed most of the food offered on-site, with a good variety and generally high quality. There were only two downsides to our stay. The first was related to one of the restaurants at the hotel (Scene restaurant) Unfortunately, my partner experienced food poisoning twice after eating there, with symptoms starting around six hours after each visit. This was disappointing and something we feel should be looked into. The second was the room didn’t have access to Netflix or similar streaming services, which would have been nice to have when relaxing in the evenings. Aside from that issue, we had a very positive experience and felt the hotel delivered on comfort, service, and overall quality.

Wonderful staff, excellent food, everything was perfect except the beach. We found the amount of trash disappointing and in total contrast to the rest of the resort. Obviously you can only keep up so much when things wash up every day but there was a fair amount of trash located along the edge/in the trees which the tide clearly does not reach.

In a quiet location on Phuket with awesome views and a jaw dropping infinity pool. We had a bay view room which was huge and a gorgeous balcony. We even had a bath with a view. It was a lovely touch having a free mini bar and snacks refreshed every day. The sun beds around the pool were busy, but we always seemed to get some. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection although some dishes were cool when it opened at 6:30am, eggs cooked to order. Quite a few local restaurants within walking distance with amazing sunset views.

I absolutely had a great time here. We booked the pool villa and the view we had was outstanding. Staff was polite and also helped us with a 1 hour check-in. Property is clean and also the sea is visible from all sides of the resort. The beach is in walkable distance only which was great. Small and cute beachside restaurants closeby and in-house restaurants are also nice. Also to add the breakfast buffet spread was so very good. Overall had an amazing time here.

The resort was beautiful, the pool great. and the breakfast buffet extensive. We were disappointed that we couldn’t go in the ocean because of jellyfish, the food (other than the included breakfast) was really expensive, and my deep tissue massage was relaxing but very light.
