The room was good but checked in time was late because of slowly cleaning room even I arrived late than checked in time. The breakfast was good but if you come late, almost of food is gone. Hip room is far from the river and the field so you won't get the river atmosphere bur it's cleaner than the raft house. The resort is located far from downtown or convenience store or restaurant and don't have any vehicles for rent.
1) The way to the hotel is weird. 2) The bed is not good. 3) Food is not pleasant.
We like that hotel it so good.
Very good service for anyone who wants to stay calm. Recommend here. There are motorcycle rental shops at the front entrance. Restaurant, Resort, Tasty, Cheap, Resort, Quiet, Private, Rabbit, Party, Lovely, Room, Better Than You Think There is a TV and a very clean room. The room was a great place to be impressed. Thanks to the hotel for the great trip.
I do not know how to do it. If the room is not available then call. Little breakfast The taste is not delicious.
Extra bed for 200 children is expensive.
Overall it is not a problem.
The hotel does not understand the language, but the room is a double.
Accommodation is not difficult. There is no hotel restaurant to go out to eat elsewhere. Beautiful river view.
Good atmosphere, quiet but a little hard to find something to eat.

Brilliant location and breakfast
Really well located about a 10 minute walk away from River Kwai train station. The room was clean and the reception were really friendly helping us to book trips at short notice. I wasn't on antimalarials so was a bit paranoid about mosquitos so we did use a mosquito net even with the air con as we did see a few around. The breakfast was lovely and there was a good range although the sausages were quite bland. The view was amazing! Right on the river and if you went to the river edge you can watch an amazing sunset of the bridge. Would recommend

Value for money
Good value for money for a short stay, if you want luxury this is not the place for you. The room was spacious, had aircon which was a blessing in 43 degrees, also neat and tidy. Staff was helpful - our shower gave out and this was fixed in no time. Food not great, but sufficient. Bed was very comfortable and huge. Location is good, just outside of town to avoid the noise, but close enough to walk. Can definitely recommend for a show 2 - 3 day stay max.

An Unforgettable Experience
I booked a bamboo hut in the river without AC. I picked the most simple hit to experience what most people go through everyday. The single room had 1 plug and a fan to cool the guests. Sitting on the walkway was so surreal especially in the morning. The mats are hard, the canopy took a bit to get use to but a must with the flies. I liked the little lizards in the shower stalls (everywhere). The most memorable stay I had while in Thailand.

Not so good
Noisy, dark and stinky room. No balcony and no frequent cleaning service. Good Position to Start off to the beach. They started renovating the floor when we moved in... Thats very annoying when relaxing at the Pool

Hot water, clean, and on the river
I was hesitant to stay here, because of some of the traveler reviews, but felt obligated to leave a review to CLARIFY a few misconceptions...of previous (possibly inexperienced travel) reviewers. First and foremost, for the price, Bamboo House is everything it should be. We had a Bamboo hut with Air conditioning and also a $7 raft room with a fan. If your a backpacker and looking to save money and have a sense of adventure and some bug spray, the raft room is for you. It does bob when a boat goes by, there is a mosquito net, and there is a thin sleeping pad and a clean, shared bathroom located right off the dock. This section of the "hotel" is in older condition. The Bamboo hut is very clean, with constantly warm water. One of the $22 huts we stayed in had twin beds and we're typical(but survivable) hard mattresses, another hut we stayed in had a mattress that could use to be replaced, it was a little on the springy side (but still survivable for the price) it was not as old as the rafts, but kept immaculately clean. the large grassy grounds on the river are wonderful, and a great meeting place for families. If your a cat lover, the hotel had at least 3 very friendly pet cats roaming the grounds, I fell in love with the Siamese stub tail Momo. The hotel can arrange drivers and trips for you, bear with their English, it's not perfect, but they did an excellent job getting us where we needed to be, at a reasonable price. The free breakfast was a basic small buffet. It's free, you get what you pay for. It had fresh fruit, cold cereal, eggs, toast, and usually a Thai dish along with juice and coffee. The dogs in the alley were never aggressive, the dogs 2 blocks away from the hotel to the right barked at us (only at night time) if this makes you feel uncomfortable, walk on the opposite side of the street, or carry a water bottle to squirt them with if you feel they get too close. There are also chickens(down the street and in the alley) and quite an amount of wild birds that you can hear in the morning, if you like wildlife, the birds are wonderful to wake up to. There are also geckos in the restaurant eating the mosquitos at night time (no big deal, their not going to bother you, and are actually kind of fun to watch) the night time restaurant service is definitely on Thai time (slow) if your in a rush, eat somewhere else (but the food was good, and the drinks are strong). We stayed at a 5*, a 4*, and a 2* on our trip, and for the price, amenities and location, it was our favorite. I hope this helps you! And please give "Momo" the cat my love:)
