This was an excellent base while we went to Khao Sok. Beautiful location, and a very unique experience for us and our kids. Staff was great, and the breakfast was a very welcome and nice touch. Highly recommended!

Location is closer to river and mountain. Felt the nature. However, a bit far from main road. It is 10 km away from Khao Sok national park. Staffs arranged eairly boat ride 6:30am. Not a lot of visitors are here yet. Enjoy the lake very much.

The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, by the side of the river, close to the entrance of the park and the dam. It is also surrounded by a few good restaurants, within a 5-10-minute drive. The owner offered an upgrade to a room with A/C on arrival for a little extra. She was also very helpful with transportation time tables and activity bookings. As expected, the room was a bit rustic but clean and functional. The mattress was stiff, even for Thailand. I straighten my back the first night. All good after that. I would definitely stay again at the Bansuanphutarn on my next visit to this beautiful place!

Basic accommodations with a tasty and economical dinner. A beautiful location and close to Cheow Lan Lake Pier to explore Khao Sok National Park.

Unpleasant stay. Bad accessing, breakfast is poor, the bed cause back pain, the staff hardly soeaks english. We left after 1 night, althoug we paid for 2 . Maybe good for youngs, but not for our age ( 50')

Great place to spend a night before a floating lodge. Outstanding staff. We rented motorbikes from the lodge - lots of fun!

My wife and I had an incredible and last minute stay for my birthday. I would recommend for those wishing to connect with Thailands diverse nature and people living here or passing through. Its beyond peaceful.... especially if you check out CBD Bar & Bistro, play on the rope swings, or tube down the river!

Great place to stay in tropical heaven and near to Khao Sok lake. Hosts were friendly and hospitable, house was extremely clean, with nets on windows and good working airconditioner Highlight is the food. Plentiful breakfast with different options changing by day Also do not miss lunch/dinner here - it was best food we had during week in Thailand! You can also join group day tour to the lake for 1500 thb and you can arrange it for next day when arriving in the evening

This property isolated, which is ideal if you want to get away from noise and traffic. We spent the night here after landing in Surat Thani airport- about an hour drive, because the next morning we started a tour to Khao Sok Lake. Dinner was nice and the staff was very friendly and eager to help. Breakfast was simple but fresh and enough. The property also has a river and the view in the early morning is outstanding, with a beatiful mountain nd birds singing.

First, this is a great location by the river. Very serene and quiet with no other guests around. The bamboo huts are cute but not insect proof at all. Many insects invaded the room at night. But my main concern was a bed with no top bed sheet. I slept with my clothes on! I doubt the top bedspread is washed after every stay so it calls to question cleanliness. The staff was functional but not at all engaging. An average stay that was a bit overpriced for the time and area.

Quiet place in the nature. We had a wonderful time ther with our family.

Staff were very nice and excellent, especially a young lady name Tare. She did just about everything there, good cooking, cleaning, and other duties including gardening vegies for cooking. We had air cond room which was nice since it was rather warm. It was clean and comfy even without desk to work on. WiFi was good. Food selection was good for an only 8-room resort. They arranged for sontaew to take us to the pier next morning for 200 baht. There is a river on property and motorcycles for rent at 50 baht per hr which we did for 1 hr. We rode the bike to Ratchaprapha Dam and the Cable Suspension Bridge The Bridge is only 1 kilometer away and a must see. About 100 meters long and wife was scare to walk over but people were riding bikes across. We would have checked out more but it was getting dark. Highly recommended if you stay over night before catching a boat to your floating resort at the dam.
