Chongkhao Resort

The hotel was standard i most ways -- clean and comfortable. My room had some minor inconveniences, but the location was a big advantage. While it didnt bother me, the water heater on the shower in my room didnt work. Thailand is hot. Cool showers feel fine. The shower water has a sulpher-like smell when it started, but that clears up if you run the water a little while. I ended up sick (bali belly) -- not the fault of the hoyel -- and I appreciated the hotel staff policy of not entering the room unless the door knob placard specifically called for cleaning. This is also a good environmental step-- I dont really need my towels and sheets changed every day. The location of the hotel was desirable. It was between the two main beaches and far enough away from the noisy bars that I could sleep at night. Once you hear how loud the bars are, you will appreciate this feature.

Rooms are in serious need of updating. Staff very helpful and aircon fantastic. Beware of the aggressive monkeys

Very disappointing. Room is in disrepair (see photos). Did not feel safe in room. Website photos DO NOT reflect condition of room or building. We let the hotel know we’d be leaving a bad review and they didn’t respond…

Property could use a renovation. Had some issues with the toilet not working, but they addressed it. Location was quiet for the most part away from the busy center but close enough to walk to the pier, the other beach and restaurants.

It was awesome

The sump pump was a little loud, running lots all night. The place overall was good.

The location is good but quite a long walk from the center of Phi Phi. Service was not that good this time.

The was “resort” I have been in 30 years of travelling.

Very impressed with our bungalow. Walking distance to the pier and all the attractions but far enough from the noise to get a good nights sleep.

A reasonable choice on Ko Phi Phi which balances budget and location with sufficient distance from the loud beach parties, assuming you want to sleep at a reasonable hour. We were met off the ferry from Krabi by a nice gentleman who wheeled our baggage to the hotel, about 7-8 minutes flat walk from the pier. We paid extra for a deluxe room on the upper floor, which had a balcony and view across rooftops. The ground floor rooms though looked into a canteen style restaurant which appeared only to be open at lunchtime. We did not eat there but a buffet meal was 150B, looked OK. Recommend the walk to Long Beach, best beach without having to walk over hilly viewpoint.

Staff weren’t very helpful or cared about the toilet being broken for the whole of my stay. Didn’t even give me a different room. They ‘temporarily’ fixed it after I asked 3 times about it but it wasn’t fixed I had to fix it myself every time I used the toilet. Also the WiFi was appalling. Doesn’t look as nice as the photos So many cats around

I don’t have a lot of bad things to say about this hotel but that being said, the room was not ready for check in time which honestly should never happen . The shower water smelled of rotten eggs for the first five minutes every time it was turned on so it stank up the room. The WiFi was sporratic at best in the night but I’m sure that’s typical . on the upside the hotel is away from the madness of the bar area and you can get solid sleep on the nice mattresses in the ac super cooled room.

This place easily could have been nice, it's just the owners don't care. Same with everywhere on Phi Phi though it seems.

The towel support in the bathroom was broken. I found the accommodations expensive for what they are. $30 CDN would be a more fair price taxes included.....

Sub a great place to stay, away from the loud and bustling main party areas. The beach is awesome and clean. The food there wasn’t all that great on the resort but a short walk fixes any cravings you may have.

Second stay at this hotel. Nice clean room in quiet location and close to main action. It is pricey in high season but thats phi phi. You can get good deals in low season.

Lovely hotel away from from the noise

Everything went well. Not a 5 star hotel but I didn't pay for a 5 star hotel. Hotel great. Entire island needs an effort to clean up trash in and around the island. Off shore needs a trash cleanup and efforts to keep Phi trash free.

The room was nice, clean and large. They did not provide shampoo which was displeasing but they did leave several bottles of drinking water. The bed appeared clean and was large and comfortable enough. The walk from the main path to the hotel is a little out of the way but it was on a quiet location.
