Needs improvement
We booked a superior bungalow which wasn’t quite up to scratch. I will try, as always to be fair. Firstly the location is great. Two minute walk to the beach with good shops and places to eat and drink close by. The views are great from balconies. Although some pruning of trees would really improve it and as it’s just started peak season I would have thought this would have happened. Judging other areas I’m glad we stayed in this area. We firstly had a high bungalow, A7, which at first glance seemed fine but as I unpacked I realised it was quite dirty. Bathroom was in disrepair, dirty walls and tiles, stains in the toilet and generally dirty. The next morning we moved to a low bungalow A1 which was much better, having a little decoration and slightly cleaner although the bathroom still had thick dust on tiles and fittings were old and need changing. As it was supposed to be superior I was disappointed but the price was reasonable. Balconies are spacious with seating. The steps! If you’ve researched you’ll know there are lots and lots and steep. It’s hard work especially with the heat and luggage and you really feel it in your calves. But, for the views in this location you have to accept it, unless you pay a lot more for seafront or further from beach. Cleaning. They clean everyday but minimally. Bed was made but things like drink station and dusting wasn’t. I had to ask for toilet rolls and had to clean fridge myself. The pools aren’t great. The pool toilets have no tap water, toilet tissue, lights or tissue bins. The pool area could be better, loungers are mixed and some are damaged. The top pool is unsafely dirty. There is lots of green mold all along the back of the seating in the pool and we didn’t go in it. The lower pool is better although the flooring is slippy and dirty around it. The view however is amazing and you get shade from the trees. The area could be a lot more desirable. The resort generally is ok but it just needs better cleaning and attention to detail. The price was reasonable, we paid £600 for 13 staff are friendly but spoke limited English. We would stay again? Possibly if the price was good. Thailand generally has bad cleanliness standards, this being our first time, but the views and location were great

Loved our stay & would stay again
We absolute loved our stay here our bungalows were even more gorgeous than in the pictures. We are a family of four (2 adults & 2 kids - 10 & 12years). We had a the best room it was two great fully self contained (each had bathroom/fridge/microwave & kitchen/laundry sink) rooms connected by a central living/sitting room with huge balcony and the best views! Great value for approx $120AUD per night for 4 guests. If you are a family I would recommend this setup as it worked perfectly for us. The bungalow was gorgeous constructed of dark wood in a traditional Thai house style surrounded by lovely gardens. Rooms were serviced everyday. You can borrow beach mats, umbrellas etc from reception for the beach. The infinity pool was amazing with stunning views and we used it several times and were the only guests there. The only thing that wasn't great was the internet which did make a bit of work I had to do on holiday, it was flakey and sometimes hard to get on but I worked around that. The reception staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Would recommend to others and stay again if visiting Kata Beach.

Great location, awesome price, clean rooms
Stayed at Kata Hi View resort for Songkran from April 12-16 with a big group of friends. was Lucy enough to get a room in the first building so I didnt have to hike up to the top of the stairs all the time. if your at the top its quite a good hike up to the top and the pool but the views are worth it. good location right by kata beach. would definetly recommend it and would stay again if I'm back in Kata. asked for late check out since my flight was not until 10pm only had to pay 100Baht per hour extra

Great View
The property is build on a hill slope right in the center of Kata, 10 minutes walk from the beach. We will have to climb 6 flights to stairs to get to the chalet. The reward is the great view of Andaman Sea and an awesome sunset. The room is decent. Big and comfortable but the fittings can be improved. And I just love the balcony!!

5 Star View
Let's start with the positives. The view from our bungalow and the infinity pool was absolutely incredible, one I'll never forget. Complete paradise. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. The two things that could be improved are the stairs and the interior of the rooms. Unfortunately there's no real solution to the stairs, they get very tiring after a long day in the sun but at the end of the day the view from the top makes it all better! The rooms were less than desirable. It could use a fresh coat of paint on all the walls. The bathrooms could use an update too. Very low water pressure and inconsistent water temperature. Overall we had a great time in Phuket and loved the Kata Hi View resort. I would definitely recommend it.
